Billie Eilish’s family home was recently targeted by burglars, but police intervened before the robber could get away with any property.

According to TMZ, the Highland Park property was broken into on Thursday night around 9p.m. Billie’s family wasn’t home during the robbery. But their house sitter was alerted of the break-in when they got an electronic notification that an unidentified figure was seen on the security cameras.

The house sitter proceeded to call the authorities, and police apprehended the suspect a block away. Nothing was stolen from Billie’s family home.

It’s unclear if the robber targeted the house due to Billie’s fame or if it was random, but the address has been leaked online before. Billie has discussed feeling unsafe after the address was doxed, and needing to hire extra security when staying with her mom and dad.

“I completely don’t feel safe in my house anymore, which sucks,” she said. “I love my house.”

However, after the most recent break-in, the address was circulated again by the crime reporting app Citizen (previously called Vigilante), which allows locals to post crime updates live.

The app ended up sending the address to over 100,000 people, and confirmed that it belonged to the pop star’s family home.

Many celebrities are the victims of break-ins, but only a few can say they were burglarized but nothing was stolen. Valerie Bertinelli had a scare last month when a group of robbers targeted her home.

Posting to social media, Valerie shared security camera footage taken on her property. She explained that two men visited her property in one night, each with equipment that looked like it could be used in a home robbery.

However, one of the men spotted her security camera. He proceeded to leave, and her property and personal effects were left untouched. Sharing security footage to social media, the actress showed how the thieves were walking around her property in the early morning. They eventually spotted the camera,

“I think he stops because he sees my camera lit up,” she said “The other one came an hour before him.”

Not only did Valerie say she made a police report, but she’s be taking additional steps to ensure her utmost safety in the future.

“I’m installing more motion detector lights and thinking of putting barbed wire on my front fence,” Valerie explained. “And of course, my alarm gets set every night.”
