Drayton Manor offers members of the armed forces free entry for Christmas

Drayton Manor theme park is spreading some Christmas cheer as it offers all serving and retired military personnel in the British Armed Forces free entry during the festive season.

The offer is valid for visits on selected dates from the 17th November through to the 31st December, when the park will be fully decorated for the season.

There’ll be loads for families to enjoy on a festive day out, as the home of Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends in Thomas Land will also be hosting extra festivities from a fireworks display to sweet treats including mince pies and mulled wine.

Oh, and for an extra touch of magic, meet and greets with Santa’s reindeer at Drayton Manor’s 15-acre zoo. (Although it’s worth noting that Father Christmas meet and greets are excluded but can be secured by calling 0844 472 1950 to arrange in advance).

There’s no need to book if you want to make use of the offer as military personnel can simply show relevant ID when they visit on the day.

Accepted IDs include a valid Military Personal Card, a MOD Card, Band of Brothers Card or Defence Privilege Card (only for serving or ex-serving members of the armed forces) or an Armed Forces Discount Card for serving personnel. Veterans can also show a Band of Brothers Card or Defence Privilege Card or a Leaving Certificate, Proof of War Pension or Armed Forces Compensation Card.

William Bryan, Managing Director at Drayton Manor Park said: "We’re so proud to show our support for the service men and women who go above and beyond for our country.

"We can’t thank them enough for all that they do and know that work for them often means time away from their friends and family, so we’d like to invite them to Magical Christmas to enjoy some all-important family time with their loved ones at Drayton Manor Park."
