Hellmann’s fans are devastated after finding out there are no plans to bring back the ‘best sauce ever’ after it was discontinued in both the UK and the US.
Dijonnaise first hit the shelves back in 1990, but due to sales dropping, it was discontinued in 2020, but there are ‘no plans’ to bring it back.
The sauce was a firm favourite among fans and even now, three years after it was pulled from stores, people are begging the brand to start making it again.
It was made of authentic Dijon mustard blended with Hellmann’s original mayonnaise for a ‘uniquely smooth, real flavorsome taste to liven up sandwiches, deviled eggs and more’.
The Walmart website, where there’s still an image of the discontinued product, reads ‘Made with real simple ingredients like eggs, oil, vinegar and authentic Dijion mustard, Hellmann’s Dijonnaise has all of the real, creamy taste you love, with just 5 calories and 0 grams of fat per serving.

‘It’s a simply delicious, lighter way to enjoy Hellmann’s.’
One fan took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to ask ‘@Hellmanns where can I buy your Dijonnaise mayo mustard? Has it been discontinued?’
The brand replied ‘Hi there – we’re sad to share that Hellmann’s Dijonnaise has been discontinued. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we’ll be sure to let our team know you’ve asked!’
Another pleaded ‘Please bring back your Dijonnaise! My deviled eggs haven’t been the same since…. after decades of using your product!! (Which is a big deal in our family)’.
Hellmann’s apologised ‘We’re so sorry you were disappointed by the discontinuation of our Dijonnaise. We know how frustrating it is when your favorite isn’t available anymore, and we’ll be sure to let our team know you’d like to see it return!’
One fan who dubbed it ‘the best condiment known to man,’ wrote ‘ Dijonnaise has been a staple in my life for 25 plus years.
‘Sandwiches just don’t taste the same anymore. I tried making my own to no avail. I ask you to reconsider bringing it back’.
However, despite the constant tweets at the brand asking about Dijonnaise, there has been no news of a potential comeback.

One sauce lover said ‘Why was it discontinued? Can you at least release a recipe using Hellmann’s Mayo to make our own? I need Dijonnaise!!!’
Someone else wrote ‘Dijonnaise. Best. Condiment. Ever. Goes with almost anything. Chips. Sausage. Ham sarnie. Cheese toastie’.
Big fans of the condiment are being forced to make their own version or ration what they have left.
An angry customer tweeted ‘Since you’ve discontinued it, I now have to make it myself. And believe me I DON’T use Hellmann’s mayo.
‘I use Duke’s (a better mayo by a mile!), and mix it with dijon mustard in my old dijonnaise bottle. It’s a pain in the arse but what else am I going to do!’
Another raged ‘Dijonnaise is the best condiment on a sandwich but you have to make your own since Hellmann’s discontinued making it.
‘Whoever at Hellmann’s ordered the discontinuation of dijonnaise should be fired’.
Someone else queried ‘Can you please start making it again?,’ but Hellmann’s simply replied ‘While we don’t have any plans on bringing our Dijonnaise back at this time, we’ll happily share your interest with our team’.

The condiments brand asked on Twitter ‘What’s the craziest mayonnaise craving you’ve ever head?’ and one sad customer responded ‘Dijonnaise. Still have a little bit left’.
Another customer tweeted ‘I want to know if there is even a slight possibility that my favorite dijonnaise will ever be back in stores. Really disappointed it’s been discontinued’.
It comes after Nestle confirmed it will be scrapping a fan favourite chocolate bar – the Caramac, prompting fans to claim they are ‘going to riot’.
The caramel-based chocolate bar first appeared on shelves in 1959, making it a staple for Generation X and beyond. It was created by confectionary firm Mackintosh’s before the brand was taken over by Nestle in 1988.
One outraged user on social media questioned ‘Caramac being discontinued Is this some sort of sick joke???’ alongside crying emojis.
The brand responded: ‘We’re sorry to hear you’re disappointed. Unfortunately it wasn’t as popular as others in the range, so it’s been discontinued’.
