A woman bought a totally rundown house for just £68,000 and transformed it into a chic Instagrammable haven.
Jade Doutch, who lives in Anglesey, bought her 1920s three-bed semi-detached house aged 22 and started sharing the transformation on her Instagram to her 40,000 followers.
However the property needed a lot of work but she didn’t have the budget so she slowly started to transform the house room by room.
Jade told Manchester Evening News: ‘I lived in two council houses and this was the first house that I bought myself.
‘I had £8,000 heritage after the death of my mum and at 20-odd years ago that was quite a lot of money, so I thought I’d use it as a 5 percent deposit as interest rates were low.

‘I bought the house but I did not know what I was doing, I was only 22 at the time and I was totally naive to the work that needed doing here.’
Then in 2016 Jade decided to put an extension on her house, which completely transformed the property.
Now, the 43-year-old shares updates on her incredible home, sharing the amazing interiors, styling and DIY jobs.
Jade created a tropical-looking garden, Scandi and Nordic influences throughout the home and rustic touches.
Taking to Instagram the mother-of one shared a clip of the incredible transformation with her followers.
The caption read: ‘£75k and nobody wanted it. Even the for-sale board was looking dated, all wonky and filthy after sitting there for well over a year.
‘Truth be told, I viewed next door first and my friend said, “What about the house next door?”… I had thought it was just the land for sale and not the house.

Jade transformed the exterior of the property to make it look like a Nordic modern wooden home
Before: Jade took to her Instagram to share a few snaps of what her kitchen looked like before the renovation
After: It took jade a few years to totally transform her home but she added a wooden island last year making the space look modern
‘This was of course before the days of Rightmove when you relied upon boards and newspapers and actually having to go into estate agents offices. Yes I’m that old!
‘But amazingly it was the house and land for sale with full planning permission for another house. Crazy hey!
‘I knew I was gonna buy it before viewing then. I knew it! It was in a sorry old state and ended up paying £68,000.
‘Can you even imagine. This was back in 2002 just before the big property boom.’
The clip showed an outdoor fireplace in a ‘cabin’ at the back of the garden which was full of fairy lights.
Another clip shows a 360-degree view of her incredible kitchen with plenty of plants, brick-walls, hanging lights and a shiny marble-looking island.
