A woman has revealed how she broke her nose after taking part in a viral TikTok trend – but still managed to finish filming her video.
Earlier this month, Madison Ringshaw, 19, from Southend, decided to film herself miming along to the song Ceilings by Lizzy McAlpine.
Over the past few weeks, over 400,000 TikTok users have taken part in the trend which involves pretending to sing a sped-up version of the hit song and dramatically running away from the camera.
Although others have filmed their versions on picturesque beaches and LA’s Walk of Fame, Madison decided she would poke fun at the trend by using an empty carpark as her backdrop.
After sprinting away from her friend who was filming, Madison then did a couple of twirls before kicking off her bright blue Croc shoes.

After rolling around on the floor, the teen then ran back in the direction where she had started the video.
But while trying to outrun her friend who was filming, Madison fell flat on her face on the tarmac.
Although she immediately noticed that her nose was bleeding, the TikToker didn’t let this stand in the way of her completing her video.
The 33-second clip ends with Madison miming the final words of the song while still recovering on the ground.
She jokingly captioned the clip: ‘Song= ceilings. Me= floor. I think Lizzy should give me free tickets as compensation’
Shortly after her fall, Madison called her mother to tell her about the injury.
She explained: ‘I phoned my mum and told her that I thought I had broken my nose, but she didn’t believe me until I sent her a photo of my nose.
‘I have never ever broken a bone in my body before or fallen over in a TikTok, so this is definitely a first-time experience.’

Following her phone call with her mother, Madison decided to go to a nearby hospital – where doctors confirmed her suspicions.
She added: ‘I went to A&E, and I was there for 7 and a half hours. I ended up having to have surgery and they realigned my nose.
‘My nose didn’t start hurting until the next day. I think it’s very very funny so everyone can laugh too.’
The video has amassed almost 80,000 ‘likes’ since it was uploaded earlier this month and fans were impressed with Madison’s dedication.
One replied: ‘GIRL! YOU MADE MY NIGHT WITH THIS BECAUSE EVEN AFTER THE FACE PLANTING/SCORPION FOLD, YOU STILL FINISHED THE SONG!!!’
Another added: ‘She really said 200% effort!’
‘Croc kick was iconic,’ a third joked.
Meanwhile, a fourth said: ‘The way you keep singing at the end!’
