I flew from London to Milan to get pizza – and it cost me less than a medium Domino’s order

A content creator revealed he flew to Italy and had pizza for less than the same meal would have cost him if he had ordered from Domino’s.
Callum Ryan, from London, revealed in a TikTok video that he set himself the challenge of getting the meal and a plane ticket to Italy for less than £19,99, which is the average price for a medium pizza sold by the restaurant chain.
After coming across a last-minute ticket to Milan for £8 and catching the flight, Cal revealed he got a pizza for €11.50 (£9.72) at a local grub hub, taking the price to an overall £17.72.
While Cal was delighted to have met the challenge, people on TikTok noted the that he seems to have left aside a lot of details, including the cost of his return flight, and transfer to and from the airports.

The TikTok user revealed he found a last minute flight to Milan for £8, and hopped on the plane, using recommendations from the social media platform to find the best pizza place he could.
He revealed he was greeted with a complimentary glass of prosecco and a pesto antipasti upon arrival, which didn’t cost a thing.
Callum then ordered a margarita pizza, which ended up costing him 11.50euros (£9.72) inclusive of service charge.
This means that the pizza alone cost about half the price of a Domino’s pizza.

Callum also got a drink for £5, however, he did not include this in the overall price tally, because drinks are optional on Domino’s.
He concluded that the trip and the pizza both cost him £17.72, which is £2.27 less than a medium pizza from the chain.
While he was pleased to have completed the challenge, some of his followers were left skeptical and had a lot of questions.
Some pointed out the content creator only booked a one-way flight and would need to spend more to return to the UK.
Others said Callum didn’t tell his viewers how much he paid to travel from his home in London to the airport in the UK, or from the airport to the Milan city centre.
Domino’s also offer smaller pizza from £7.99 and have deals to cut prices.
Skeptical viewers pointed out how Callum only booked a one-way ticket, and would need to fork out for a return

‘Wait… Why is your flight so cheap?’ another asked.
‘This shows how ridiculous are prices in the UK,’ one said.
‘What was the return flight’s cost?’ one asked as well.
