Love Island star Tasha Ghouri has opened up about how it feels to see a visually-impaired contestant on this year's series of the hit dating show.

The 24 year old, who starred on Love Island 2022 and came in fourth place with boyfriend Andrew Le Page, was the show's first ever deaf contestant.

This year, islander Ron Hall, 25, is the first partially-sighted contestant to ever appear on the dating show after going blind in one eye as a child after an unfortunate sporting injury.

Speaking exclusively to OK!, Tasha praised ITV for continuing to bring representation to Love Island.

"I think it's incredible that Love Island are still making that diversity and representation happen," said the blonde beauty.

"I was hoping that was still going to continue after me, so I think it's great to see that that's still happening.

"Ron is partially blind – even I couldn't imagine what it's like being blind in one eye, so I think it's incredible that someone is still going on the show and bringing representation and still breaking those boundaries.

She added: "I really do hope that continues throughout the years."

After giving her wardrobe a refresh, eBay pre-loved ambassador Tasha is auctioning over 70 of her favourite pre-loved pieces in a bid to extend their lifecycle and give them a new home.

The auction, which ends on Friday, 3 February, will see 100% of the proceeds donated to her chosen charity, Deafkidz International, whose aim it is to make sure people with hearing impairments are "able to live safely and without fear of abuse and exploitation."

Discussing her collaboration with eBay UK for their ReSELLution campaign, Tasha said it was "very cool" to see some of the pre-loved pieces she wore during her time on the show be worn again by this year's islanders.

"I think it also gets people talking again and shows that it's not embarrassing to re-wear outfits – it's actually a really good thing. It shows that you can wear your clothes again and not send it to a landfill so it's better for the planet."

The reality star, whose jaw-dropping outfits are adored by her 1.5million Instagram followers, said that her time in the villa helped shape how she dresses now.

"On the show, I dressed outside the box a lot more because of things that eBay gave to us, so I had more variety and clothes to play with. But I always was interested in my fashion before that.

"Coming out of the villa, because a lot people saw me as a fashionable person, I sometimes feel a bit of pressure to kind of keep that image going.

"Fashion is about individuality and it's about expressing who you are. So I feel like I just like to play around with fashion and get creative, even though may it look weird!"

Tasha, who moved in with boyfriend Andrew in October, said her love for fashion means she's tight on space and is already eyeing up the room in Andrew's wardrobe.

"In our bedroom, we have wardrobe each, but mine is starting to overflow massively… I might have to slowly overflow to Andrews wardrobe… I'm sure he wouldn't mind," she laughed.

She's enjoying this series of Love Island, but admitted it's "very weird to watch it from the other side."

She also revealed that she'd love to see Shaq and Tanya crowned the winners.

"I think probably my favourite is Tanya and Shaq. I think they are really good together and you can see how comfortable they are.

"Being in an environment like that is so intimate and intense that you fall in love so quickly and I love the fact that they're just being honest and being like, 'yeah, you know what, I'm in love. with you.'"

Tasha’s wardrobe will be live to shop on eBay on Tasha’s Pre-Loved wardrobe page until 5pm on Friday 3rd February.
