I won share of massive £1m lottery – I know how I want to spend the cash but my family won't like it | The Sun

A MAN who won a share of a massive £1million lottery prize has said he knows how he wants to spend the cash – but his family won't like it.

Paul signed up to the Lotto and ended up bagging a whopping £200,000 all because of where he lived.

The dad-of-three was left in shock when he had a knock at his door and was handed the cheque.

Paul's PR7 2QD postcode in Chorley, Manchester, was the winner in this week's Millionaire Street prize.

He has now revealed how he plans to splash the cash.

Joking, he said: "I'm going to buy a beer first and then a car."

Paul currently owns a Ford Fiesta but said he "hates" it.

He said: "I hate my car that I've got at the minute. I'm not really into big or fast cars.

"I just want to be comfortable while I'm driving. I'm a [Ford] Mondeo man and I'm not going to change that.

"I would have been happy with anything, but I can't comprehend that amount of money, it's obscene.

"I had looked online and thought I'd maybe win their £30,000 prize but this is just ridiculous."

Paul said as well as treating himself, he also wants to spend the money on his family – which he said they won't allow.

The electrical company worker said: "I'll hopefully send my mum and dad away on a holiday, but that's only if they'll take it, because they're stubborn."

People's Postcode Lottery Presenter Judie McCourt said, "It was a fantastic sunny day to be out knocking on more winners' doors. We felt so welcomed on their street."

It comes after Anthony McMullen, 33, scooped £286,000 last month on the Postcode Lotto.

And a former nurse won £400,000 on the People's Postcode Lottery – but her sister who lives just downstairs got nothing.
