I'm A Celeb star Mike Tindall admitted to having had plastic surgery on his nose after breaking it at least eight times during his 12 year rugby career.
The former Gloucester rugby player, 44, was left unable to breathe normally after repeated rugby blows.
He revealed his decision to have corrective surgery to straighten his nose in 2018 after years of sinus problems on Loose Women’s special all-male panel.
The retired rugby player was prompted by host Vernon Kay, who asked: “Your nose job was for purpose though wasn’t it?”
"Your nose was literally underneath your left eye from rugby. It wasn't just for looks you had it done?"
The rugby world cup winner responded: "No, I was stopping breathing during sleep, so it needed to be done.
"I also had my teeth done but that was because they were crossed and looked like a bag of chips."
Kay joked back: “It’s a great game, rugby.”
Mike first broke his nose aged just 5 years old. He suffered three more breaks during his rugby career, which ended in 2014.
Before his surgery, his nose sat at a 45-degree angle, and he could only breathe out of his mouth due to his collapsed nostrils.
The conversation was featured on the all-male takeover of Loose Women, dubbed Loose Men, to mark Mental Health Awareness Week. They were joined by Strictly Come Dancing pro Johannes Radebe and radio DJ Roman Kemp.
The husband of Zara Tindall, daughter of Princess Anne and granddaughter of the late Queen, has joined this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!. This makes him the first member of the royal family to appear in the jungle.
On his Instagram, his team have shared several photos from the first episode where Tindall takes part in the first challenge alongside Sue Cleaver and Owen Warner.
With his sporting credentials, Tindall is predicted to pick up plenty of votes and has claimed to have turned down several previous requests to appear on the show.
Speaking recently to ITV about joining the show, he said: "It is sinking in now that I am taking part.
"I am ready to rumble! I have been asked on numerous occasions to take part. The timing was right this year and Hask (James) did the show and he had been talking about it.”
Winning 75 caps for his country, Tindall was awarded an MBE after the 2003 World Cup win against Australia and made a Member of the Order of the British Empire in 2007 for his contribution to rugby.
