Before I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here contestant Frankie Bridge may found her soulmate in Wayne, she dated another former campmate.
During her days in The Saturdays, the singer dated fellow musician and McFly bassist Dougie Poynter. But after two years together, things between the two soured and they called it quits in 2010.
Despite their happy times together, what followed was an extremely public breakup, leading Dougie, 33, to check into The Priory in February 2011.
After struggling to deal with the heartbreak and after seeing frontpages dominated by Frankie’s fledging relationship with Wayne, Dougie began receiving treatment for depression.
Suggesting that the Loose Women panellist felt guilty for her ex’s wellbeing, Dougie’s mum lashed out at the now 32 year old, telling her to keep away from her son.
“If she doesn't want to be with him, that's her choice: I can't chastise her. She texted me saying: "Sorry about me and Dougie" and I didn't reply,” she told Star magazine.
“It's like a kick in the teeth, it's devastating. It's horrible. It's just in your face all the time and that's what he's got to learn to deal with.”
Giving her message to Frankie, his mum added: “Leave my son alone. I don't care what she does or who she does it with, just let Dougie get on with his life,” she added.

However, despite the fallout, the couple have since remained quiet about their relationship, with Frankie admitting that it was “hard to talk about” and that she’d received a barrage of death threats online in the wake of the news.
And Dougie too has stayed tight-lipped, only joking that he was “jealous” of Frankie’s new WAG status.
“Look, it’s cool – so long as she’s happy, that’s all I can ask for. Although I wanted to date Wayne Bridge, so I’m a bit jealous, to be honest. I’m gonna do one better,” he said at the time.
But since the very public and painful breakup, Frankie’s love life has been a lot less dramatic after her self-confessed “whirlwind” relationship with ex Manchester City footballer Wayne.
After James Corden cheekily entered Wayne’s number into Frankie’s phone, the two have been inseparable, marrying in 2014.
Together the couple have two children – Parker, eight, and Carter, six.
And, despite the messiness surrounding the early days of their relationship, a source close to the couple has said that their experience of seeing their love lives play out in the public eye is what cemented their relationship.
“They’d both been through the mill,” a source close to the couple told Fabulous.
“They both recognised that in each other. When they met, they already felt connected.”
