Jon Bon Jovi’s restaurant gives free meals to furloughed federal workers

A restaurant owned by musician and New Jersey native Jon Bon Jovi is providing free meals to local government workers and their families in Red Bank, New Jersey, during the federal government shutdown, according to a story from The Asbury Park Press, which is part of the USA TODAY Network.

Dorothea Bongiovi, wife of Jon Bon Jovi, and Tammy Murphy, wife of Gov. Phil Murphy, will be on hand as free meals are served to furloughed federal workers noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the Soul Kitchen.
