Kelly Clarkson teased that new music is finally on the way after her bitter divorce from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.

“Everybody knows the huge divorce I went through, and it’s been, like, two years and not easy with kids,” the “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” singer said on Apple Music’s “The Global Chart Show with Brooke Reese” Wednesday.

When pushed to share when fans can expect her next album, Clarkson, 40, explained how the divorce affected her career.

“I’m just navigating what I’m comfortable with releasing,” she said. “So, it’s just a hard thing to navigate. It’s coming. I just got to get my crap together. I just got to figure out what I’m going to release. I’ve never had this difficult of a project.”

The “American Idol” alum, who has not released non-holiday music since 2017, filed for divorce from Blackstock, 45, in June 2020 after nearly seven years of marriage. They settled the divorce earlier this year.

More recently, Clarkson legally changed her name to Kelly Brianne.

“I just got divorced, so I had to drop my married last name,” she explained to “People (the TV Show!)” in March.

“I just kept my middle name for my personal life. I’m still Kelly Clarkson,” she clarified.

The “Since U Been Gone” singer was granted primary custody of their two children — daughter River, 8, and son Remington, 6 — while Blackstock, who resides in Montana and has two teens from a previous marriage, will have the kids one weekend a month.

Clarkson also won the former couple’s Montana ranch but did not make Blackstock immediately move out. While he lived there, he paid her $12,500 a month in rent.

The talk show host joked that she would be “single forever” in December 2021.
