Kerry Katona: If I looked like Amanda Holden, Id walk around naked all day

Kerry Katona has discussed why she would 'love' to look like Amanda Holden, who faced backlash this week for posting bikini snaps to social media.

In her exclusive weekly column, the former Atomic Kitten singer also said how Covid symptoms haven't stopped her from going out, gave her support for Olivia Attwood – who says she'd love to film the birth of her first child for TV – and sent congratulations to Charlotte Dawson, who has given birth to her second child.

Writing in her weekly column, Kerry shared her thoughts on Amanda Holden's recent run-in with Andrew Tate, who shamed her on social media for sharing a bikini picture to social media.

Insisting that she doesn't agree one bit with the former kickboxer, Kerry said she has Amanda's back as she praised the Britain's Got Talent judge.

"I noticed that Andrew Tate, the former kickboxer who is currently facing trial in Bucharest, mum-shamed Amanda Holden last week for posting a bikini picture to Instagram," said Kerry. "He wrote: “You are a wife and a mother and you’re far past a teenager. There is no need for this post.”

"I don’t agree. He’s so wrong. Amanda looks amazing. I aspire to look like her and she’s 10 years older than me. If I was her, I’d be walking around naked all the time!"

Feeling the girl power this week, Kerry also had nothing but praise for former Love Island star Olivia Attwood's confession that she's keen for the cameras to catch a very intimate moment in her life – filming the birth of her first child for TV.

Olivia had previously told MailOnline, "The idea of filming my birth is scary but yes in some capacity it would be natural to share that, and I'd want to. I think that would be fun and the viewers would have grown up with me and to see me making life would be really cool."

And Kerry couldn't agree more, as she shared her own experience of giving labour in front of the camera. She said, "Olivia Attwood recently said that when she has her first baby, she wants to film the birth for her TV show. I say, absolutely do it.

"When I gave birth to my son Max it was shown on my MTV reality show, but there was only one person in the room holding the camera, so it’s not like there was a crew gathered round.

"We all watch shows like One Born Every Minute. And it’s great to have the film footage as a memory – better than a photo album. I’d watch it, Olivia!"

Giving an update on her own life, Kerry has had a busy week or so after heading to Liverpool for the city's pride celebration. "Last week I went to Liverpool Pride and performed at the Masquerade Bar street party. It was amazing. I love performing, singing, doing a bit of stand-up comedy and motivational speaking," she wrote.

Adding, "I had so much fun and I could feel the love – the crowd were brilliant."

But despite the celebrations, our columnist has been feeling under the weather, with symptoms that she believes suggest she's had a bout of Covid-19. "I’m not sure if you guys have seen me coughing in my recent Instagram videos, but I think I’ve got Covid-19, so I don’t feel great," she wrote.

"I haven’t had any jabs for it and it’s my fourth time having it, so I know what to expect. Now that the rules state we don’t have to isolate, I’ve been trying to get on with things. Last week I had a few days busy with work and went to London. I can’t believe I was out and about so much while feeling so ill. But once I got home, I took time to recover and relax."

Finally, Kerry sent her congratulations to Charlotte Dawson, who gave birth to her second son last week with her fiancé Matt Sarsfield.

"Congratulations to Charlotte Dawson on welcoming her baby son last week. I hope mum and baby are both well," she shared.

Adding, "She’s named him Jude, which is cute. I love old-fashioned names but I also do like something a little bit different and my daughter DJ’s name isn’t at all traditional. I just always loved Dylan-Jorge as a girl’s name."
