Kim Kardashian , who was recentlypraised by fans for sharing a filter-free selfie, took to Instagram stories to showcase her lavish backyard garden bearing an abundance of fruit and vegetables at her California home.
The SKIMS founder, 42, shared photos and videos of the assortment of flowers, fruits, and vegetables she has, including artichokes, Hass avocados and Anna apples, taking her 347M followers on a tour of the expansive outdoor space while on an “afternoon walk in the garden”.
She identified the fruit on one of the trees as 'Minneola Tangelo,' a type of citrus. She also shared her love of harvesting fruits and vegetables when they're ready to be eaten, including baskets of freshly cut leafy greens and broccoli.
She even gave fans an insight into her decisions to include certain items in her garden, saying “How Armenian of me to grow apricots,” while giving followers a peek at her tree. “And even more Armenian of me to grow pomegranates.”
This is not the first we’ve seen of Kim's stunning property in Calabasas, which is worth a whopping £50 million and was designed with help from minimalist architect Claudio Silverstrin.
While doing a tour of her home forVoguein February 2022 the star said: “Everything in my house is really minimal. I find that there's so much chaos out in the world that when I come home, I want it to be just really quiet, and I want everything to feel calming.”
A huge cream gallery-like hallway leads into her neutral sitting room where, she says: “It’s a place where I like to have tea and write letters to my kids.” Incredibly, the cream sofas, carpet or walls have remained spotless.
While Kim’s living spaces are an oasis of peace, the kids had free reign of their bedrooms.
“The playroom is full of clutter,” she chimes. “And the bedrooms – one is pink, one is purple, one is blue, one is dinosaurs. Each kid can have their full style and taste in their bedroom and have so much fun. But in the main house I like the calmness.
She added: “Shockingly, four kids hasn’t messed up my cream house.”
The outdoor space also has a basketball court and a pool where during the summer Kim envisions "music blasting" and "kids in the pool".
Kim continues: “The basketball court is where the kids love to be. I wanted it all really neutral. All my gym equipment is black so the basketball hoops are black with a cream little box and hoop.”
Kanye and Kim reportedly purchased the home for $20 million in 2014, but Kardashian's mom, Kris Jenner, tweeted in April 2018 that the house was then worth $60 million. During their divorce Kim bought the house and all of its belongings from her ex for $23 million. She has continued to live there with their four children, North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
