Although we’re still feeling the cold in the UK, we can’t help but dream of the upcoming hot weather, and hopefully a holiday or two.
For the KarJenners, though, swimsuit season is already firmly upon them, and the famous family haven’t held back from sharing snaps of them making the most of the weather.
It seems like the sisters are going for some retro accessories to complete their beach-side looks, with Kourtney wearing a 90s style headband to match her neon green bikini, and now Kim Kardashian has declared the return of one of the most 00s accessories of all – the belly chain.
In a series of photos posted to her Instagram on Wednesday, Kim posed in an outdoor shower, showing off her toned figure in a tiny black bikini with the caption “search for soul”.
The SKIMS founder opted for the string bikini, with ultra high-cut bottoms and a triangle top, and matching black sunglasses in her signature wraparound style.
In the last photo Kim can be seen wearing a sheer black sarong as she heads indoors, but it was another accessory that gave us a major 00s throwback. Visible in photos is a delicate gold chain around her waist, complete with a tiny cross charm that dangled above her bikini bottoms.
The belly chain was first popular in the early 2000s thanks to the decades' love of over accessorising, with many celebrities opting to wear on with a crop top and low waisted pair of jeans, regardless of whether they were running errands or walking a red carpet.
The reality star decided to go for a more minimal approach to her accessories though, wearing no other jewellery except for another Y2K favourite; the ankle bracelet.
She kept the rest of her look paired down, with nude lined lips and a bronzed face to match her tan. Her hair was worn in loose beachy waves down to her waist, after the billionaire showed off her return to her classic dark hair in another swimwear-clad Instagram post last week.
In last week’s post, Kim can be seen wearing another tiny two piece, this time in white with matching white wraparound shades, as she played on the beach, crediting sister Kendal for taking the photos.
The post was followed by another snap of her with sister Kylie amid the current Kylie/Hailey Bieber/Selena Gomez drama. In the photo the sisters are both twinning with long dark hair and a dark bikini looking almost identical as Kim captioned the photo “Twin Souls”.
