When it comes to comfort foods, most of us will have our own special take on things.

And usually after a boozy night out to avoid a sore head the next morning, anything goes.

But as certain foods shouldn't become too complicated, one man has been slated on Reddit.

In the shared photo, it shows sliced cheddar cheese on top of a Jaffa Cake – yes you heard that right…

Posting on the online forum, the man said: "Behold my post-gig creation," alongside the snap of the offending items.

And the fella's unusual take on the late night snack left people running for the bathroom.

In fact, his combo left people gobsmacked as the sweet and savoury just didn't go down well with Reddit users.

One joked: "Begone foul demon whence you came," while another commented: "I've called the f***ing police."

Another posted: "Take this abomination away."

While a third user slammed: "There are some sick people in the world. You need help my friend!"

Meanwhile others recounted different strange Jaffa Cake combinations, proving they are strangely more common than you think.

One said: "My dad has cucumber slices with Jaffa Cakes, you and him are two peas in a pod that need to be locked up somewhere far away from civilisation."

As for other people on the platform, they said cheese and orange biscuits could be a great shout.

The person said: "Now I'm wondering what dark chocolate digestives and Stilton would be like?"
