The Euros may be over, but that doesn’t mean that England’s football heroes have fallen off our radar. Take Marcus Rashford, for example, who has just broken the internet with a brand new hair makeover.
A Manchester United FC fan page on Twitter has reposted a clip of the sporting star with a fresh new look, following what looks like an at-home visit from the hairdresser – and unsurprisingly, it’s gone viral.
Known for having dark hair worn in a sharp style, the 23 year old has decided that it’s time to change up his signature look. In the new clip he can be seen with a freshly tapered cut and, in a dramatic move away from his usual shade, the top section of his curls has been bleached blond.
With almost 18,000 likes on Twitter, it’s clear that people are overall fans of Rashford’s new look. One fan said, "Looks good on him!" while another tweeted, "Great trim".
Meanwhile a third dropped a string of fire emojis in the replies section, while a fourth added, "He looks so neat!"
However, other football fans lamented the fact that Marcus and his fresh new ‘do won’t be seen on the pitch for quite some time.
"He should be starting the season with this new trim tho…. It’s so unfortunate," wrote one, referring to the fact that the forward will miss the start of the upcoming season due to being off for three months because of an injury and subsequent surgery.
Of course, Marcus isn’t the only football star to change up his looks – players notoriously love to experiment with hairstyles and colours.
One player who fans compared Marcus’s style to is Phil Foden, who also famously bleached his hair blond – albeit a much lighter shade than Rashford’s.
And who could forget new Manchester Cirty Jack Grealish, whose signature look has probably made it into the Oxford English Dictionary as the definition of "curtain hairstyle" by now.
We’re sure it won’t be long until another footballer changes up their hairstyle!
