If you glance through the social media of most of the Married at First Sight Australia contestants, you’ll see most look a little different now than they did in 2019 when it was first filmed.
Possibly the biggest change in look though is Lauren Huntriss, who was ill-matched with partner Matthew Bennett. Despite the fact Lauren didn’t stay on the show as long as the others, we quickly grew to love her girl-next-door charm – but it seems she’s keen to shake that sweet image.

These days, the professional make-up artist is a fiery redhead. She also regularly shows glittery-heavy make-up looks with her 100K Instagram followers. Considering she opted for a barely-there beauty style on the show, this change will surprise some MAFS fans.

Lauren has been keeping up the red hair since autumn 2019, so we wonder if the break-up spurred her to try something completely different.
“New hair don’t care,” she captioned the initial post showing off the change in colour.
“Absolutely love this colour on you! Makes your eyes even more beautiful!” says one fan.
Another wanted more info on the colour so they could get it for themselves. “Love it, what brand of colour did your hairdresser use Lauren?” asked the fan.
Lauren tagged in her hair colourist who answered that the colour is a Wella Professional one, and to “take Lauren’s picture to your hairdresser and have her match the colour, because everyone’s base colour is different resulting in different formulas to achieve this colour”.
Since 2019, Lauren has swapped between more vibrant shades of red and muted ginger tones – all suiting her complexion perfectly. We’re also loving her daring experiments with colourful eyeshadows.
Just a few months ago, the 31-year-old attempted a baby blue cut-crease using Morphe x James Charles Artistry Eyeshadow Palette, £39 here. The finished results are glam and gorgeous.
Though Lauren’s marriage to Matt didn’t work out, she took the split well and has shown since that there are no hard feelings.
“This experiment was 2 years ago for me and I have well and truly moved on and grown from my experience,” she says in a recent Instagram post.
We love to see her succeed!
