What’s “Damon” spelled backwards?
Matt Damon paid tribute to his late father by getting a tattoo of the word “nomad” on his upper arm recently.
Kent Damon, also an actor, died in 2017 at the age of 74, and even had a role in his son’s 2003 film “Stuck on You.”
In addition to being the family surname spelled backwards, Nomad was also the name of the elder Damon’s boat, according to celebrity tattoo artist Winterstone, who’s responsible for the ink.
“Got to tattoo an idol of mine! Such a cool job to have great experiences like these,” Winterstone captioned footage of the session on Instagram Monday, calling the design a “Pretty rad tattoo with so much Meaning!”
This isn’t the first time Winterstone, whose real name is Daniel Winter, has inked the “Departed” star; in 2019, the Oscar winner paid tribute to his four daughters — Alexia, Isabella, Gia, and Stella — by adding their names just below where his new ink sits.
It appears Damon must be working on sleeve as there are additional designs — including an eye and multiple stars — that have been added in the years since his original work. The name “Lucy” — in honor of wife Luciana Barrosso — pre-dates all five of the other names and symbols.
In his post, Winterstone also revealed that the “Jason Bourne” actor even tattooed a dot (or a “small universe,” as he called it) on the artist himself.
“His first time tattooing!” Winterstone wrote.
The artist counts tons of other celebs — including Lady Gaga, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, Kristin Cavallari and many more — as clients.

Debra Messing commented on Damon’s post, “Who new [sic] he had so many!!!!!,” referring to the actor’s arm ink, while model Alessandra Ambrosio dropped a raising hands emoji denoting her approval.
It remains to be seen what Ben Affleck thinks of his BFF’s new ink, as Damon hasn’t exactly defended his “Good Will Hunting” co-star’s polarizing ink in the past.
Perhaps the lifelong friends will cement their relationship with matching tattoos next.
