The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been criticised for using a mental health campaign to promote a friend's luxury £900-a-night wellness retreat.
When Meghan and Harry posted a tribute to the "incredible people across the globe" working in the field of mental health to their 7.6million Instagram followers, at first they won plaudits from people praising them for publicly backing the cause.
However, eyebrows were raised when it became clear that one of the people under the spotlight was Taryn Toomey.
The fashion industry executive turned fitness guru is a firm friend of Meghan's and attended her lavish baby shower in New York.
The House of Sussex's Instragram page encourages its followers to look at the 48-year-old's page and includes a link to its profile.
Royal biographer Penny Junor told The Daily Mail the promotional move was "wrong", adding: "The Royal Family must be cleaner than clean."
On offer through Toomey's business are a series of "retreatments", described as getaways that are "transformational for mind, body and spirit."
"Morning meditation moves purposefully into two cathartic hours of The Class," a description of the retreatments reads.
"After a nourishing communal brunch, guests have options for adventure and restoration.
"The day closes by cooling the fire generated in the morning with a gentle yoga session."
One luxury package will set visitors back £3,600 for a four-night retreat hosted at one of the finest hotels in the Caribbean.
Another based in Hudson Valley in New York State runs for four days in October, costs £3,847 and is called 'The Dutchess'.
For those looking for a spot of spiritual nourishment but who have already used up all their annual leave, Toomey also sells a range of products on her website.
On offer are items including £270 super anti-aging serum and a £1,227 peach moonstone in a free form necklace, promising to "support the heart and stimulate the mind".
Toomey's description of the business hints at how it might fit into Harry and Meghan's understanding of mental health "promotion".
"Through simple, repetitive calisthenics and plyometrics, participants challenge the body to engage the mind," Toomey's website explains.
"With guided instruction and powerful music, The Class invites students to witness their resistance to discomfort.
"The result is an expansive, heart-clearing and body-strengthening release.
"This Class will challenge and enlighten you all while building an incredibly strong, lean, resilient body. You will learn tools to empower your life."
The wellness themed brand has served Toomey well.
Until recently she lived with her financier husband in a £5million Manhattan apartment.
A spokesman for Mrs Toomey’s company woudn't explain how her business improves mental wellbeing when asked by the Daily Mail.
"As Taryn lives and breathes – what happens on the mat stays on the mat," she said.
But she added that it was a "great honour to be highlighted and supported by the Duke and Duchess".
Meghan and Harry's Instagram account had posted: "To pay tribute to all of the incredible work people across the globe are doing in this space, we are hoping to shine a light on several Instagram accounts that promote mental well-being, mental fitness, body positivity, self-care, and the importance of human connection – to not just hear each other, but to listen.
"There are countless organisations doing amazing work for mental health – please consider the accounts we’ve highlighted as a small snapshot of this global support network.
"We invite you to explore the extraordinary stories of strength, and the commitment to kindness as seen in the above accounts."
