The first opinion that divided social media users is that her son sleeps on a mattress on the floor, which she says he loves and is perfect for her to lie in as well
However, the soon to be mom-of-two says she constantly has people shaming her parenting decisions.
In one video, which has been viewed more than 375,000 times, Leah showed off the three controversial parenting choices she’s made.
The first opinion that divided social media users is that her son sleeps on a mattress on the floor, which she says he loves and is perfect for her to lie on as well.
The mom hit back at naysayers, saying she followed a specific method after studying a Master’s degree in early childhood education – and the mattress on the ground actually helps her son sleep.
‘I had seen the idea of a floor bed following Dr Maria Montessori’s methods on social media and I have studied her methodology in school,’ Leah explained to NeedToKnow.co.uk.
The doting mom explained she made the decision for ‘multiple reasons.’
‘The most important one being that my son wasn’t sleeping through the night, so I wasn’t getting much sleep either,’ she explained. ‘The more I read and researched about a floor bed, the more enticing it sounded to me.’
Leah’s second – and most – controversial parenting choice is that Maximo doesn’t follow a strict sleep schedule, with many users slamming the mom for her lack of routine and wishing her luck when her son starts school.

‘It was tough when I followed a strict schedule, ‘ the mom admitted. ‘Once I started following his sleep cues, nap time and bed time got much easier.’
Leah said they had a ‘loose’ schedule in their household that they followed.
‘Once my son goes to school he will no longer be napping, so his nap schedule won’t matter,’ she explained.
Leah also revealed she stopped pumping at six months postpartum, but TikTok users had been more supportive of this decision.
But in contrast to her other rules, Leah says that people are particularly supportive of this as many relate to the struggles that surround breastfeeding.
‘I made this choice because I absolutely hated pumping,’ she explained. ‘It hurt and being attached to the wall with a breast pump took up a lot of my time.’
Leah said she thought people were more supportive of this decision because they knew how hard breastfeeding and pumping was.
‘I had more time to spend with my son [and] my breasts weren’t in pain all the time,’ she simply said.

TikTok users couldn’t help but share their thoughts about Leah’s parenting style online
Although many support Leah and how she chooses to parent her son, other viewers completely disagree and troll her for her choices.
Lily commented: ‘I really dislike that people try to parent other peoples kids. Whatever works for you, works and what doesn’t doesn’t.’
Another viewer commented: ‘This actually sounds pretty normal compared to other people’s controversial parenting choices.’
‘Enjoy when he goes to school!’ one user wrote sarcastically.
‘I would advise to lift the bed off the floor at least a little because beds on the floor can breed mold,’ one person advised of her son’s sleeping method.
‘Don’t bother from what I’ve seen she doesn’t care,’ another hit back.
Some accused her of being a bad mother.
‘Her whole account is just a hazard to new moms,’ one scathing comment read.
‘You are a terrible mother,’ another raged. ‘Your child will end up needing extra support throughout their life because of your ignorance.’
However, some users stood up for Leah.
‘Bc (because) it’s her kid,’ one TikTok user exclaimed. ‘Why would she want to listen to a bunch of comments on how to take care of HER baby.’
