A mum has slammed Instagram users for "sexualising" her body after being criticised for a photo where she is embracing her 15-year-old son while posing in a bikini.
Mum-of-four Sophie Guidolin is a millionaire influencer who made her career in fitness and nutrition after suffering from diabetes in her first pregnancy.
The 33-year-old lives in Gold Coast, Australia, where the weather is hot and she says it is normal to wear a bikini most of the time.
In the photo, Sophie is wearing a blue strapless thong bikini as she hugs her oldest child Kai in honour of his 15th birthday.
"Happy 15th Kai," she simply captioned the post.
The model is doing the "knee pop" pose which is popular with Instagram influencers due to making waists look smaller while exaggerating curves.
Sophie was understandably horrified when people in the comments said the photo was "inappropriate" and told them to stop sexualising her body in an Instagram story she posted.
"I just want to say as well, those who have followed me for a while may remember I posted a bikini workout on the beach that had Kai in it and I got slammed for it.
"The good thing to mention here is that I wear bikinis in front of my kids because my body is normal.
"Having a body is normal, having body parts is normal, it's not sexualised, it's nothing shameful, and it's something I reiterate and drive home here with my boys.
"So when they see me in a bikini, they don't think anything other than 'Hmm, mum's tanning, mum's going to the beach, going for a swim.'
"They don't see me and be like 'Oooh what a sexy bum you've got.'"
A supporter wrote in response to her photograph with Kai: "Well said, people are sick to even think anything bad from this."
Someone else commented: "You shouldn’t have to edit this, nothing more than a beautiful mum and son photo."
"I think it’s more the sexy posing than the swimwear that feels off," blasted a critic.
Sophie hit back with: "Sexy posing? I’m hugging my son for f***s sake!"
