My parents are the cheapest millionaires – their house is full of broken junk

A woman says her parents are the "cheapest millionaires" after she found broken things around her house.

Faith, from the US, posted a video on TikTok to tease her mum and dad, saying: "When your parents are millionaires and also the cheapest people ever."

She walked around the house and made some shocking discoveries that she joked explained why her parents had so much money.

On the office table, she found a stained table cloth and said: "This folded up rag has been a hand rest for decades."

She then picked up her dad's favourite sweater and noticed a sizeable hole on the sleeve.

"$10 shoes rack that broke half a decade ago," Faith said, lifting up the wooden top that is detached from the rack.

"The penciled 'X' on the toaster has always marked the slot that doesn't work."

Viewers shared their thoughts on Faith's video, with one saying: "The rich don't act rich.

"They're quiet about their riches. When people flaunt their money, they're not actually that rich."

A second wrote: "This is how you stayed unbothered. No stress because you know you got money if you wanted something."

"The crazy part is that all that stuff still works just fine," a third added.

Faith explained that her dad has always been extremely humble and she didn't even know her parents were wealthy until she went to college.

She said: "I thought I grew up in a normal middle class family but I had everything provided for me.

"My parents are not self-neglecting, they have a nice, big house that my mum's remodelled most by herself.

"They spend their money towards experiences and they give so much – they sponsor kids in the Third World countries.

"My dad also gave us large sums of money into investing because the earlier you invested, the greater it's gonna be!"
