A Page 3 girl hit back at trolls who say her parents must be ashamed of their daughter – by revealing her proud mum actually quit her job to support her.
Apollonia Llewellyn, who is known as Barbi, has been modelling with this publication for five years.
The stunning blonde has millions of social media followers but some naysayers have criticised her glamorous career choice.

However, the 23-year-old, from Yorkshire, said her family is right behind her and that her mum even left the NHS to work under her instead.
She said: “They love what I do and my friends and family are so supportive but I have gotten backlash from people who act like they know me but don’t.
“I always get it and still do to this day. I just have to ignore it and I’ve learnt that I have to let it go, especially when you are in the public eye, I can’t comment back.
“People say I must love myself and that I am probably stuck up. I still get those comments and if I am in a bikini I get ‘your mum and dad must be so proud’ and I am like ‘well yeah actually they are’.
“When I started my modelling career my mum left her job and she came to work for me. So I would love to comment back saying they definitely are proud but it is not worth it.”
She added: “My mum now does all my invoices, emails, bookkeeping, pretty much the side I wouldn’t know. I like it, it’s more like a family run business now.”
Apollonia started modelling at 14 and Kylie Jenner is her biggest inspiration for being a young self-made billionaire.
And she believes she would have been a midwife or a paramedic if it wasn’t for modelling, a recognition to her grandma who used to tell her fascinating stories from working in a hospital.
But her Page 3 girl route was first mapped when she applied for the role aged 18 after reading the paper.
She remembered: “It said ‘if you want to be a Page 3 girl contact here’ and because it wasn’t nude I said I would give it a go.
“I liked the fact it was more swimwear now than topless. I think growing up I have always turned to that page just to look at the girls and when I saw they started wearing clothes and had bikinis on I liked it and thought they looked really nice.
“I wanted to be there and so I went for it. They asked me to come down for a test and I was like ‘oh my god’ and I was so excited.
“It was actually really relaxing and it felt like I had known them forever. Now I have been doing it for five years and it feels like a second home.”
Apollonia was nicknamed Barbi on her first shoot – something she has cherished ever since.
And she still gets a feeling of satisfaction seeing herself in print and when she is in the supermarket she always flicks to the third page to see what colleague is pictured that day.
And as for behind the scenes, she said: “It’s really fun, especially when you are having your hair and makeup done and you don’t have to stress about doing it yourself.”
