A 54-year-old grandmother has revealed that strangers often mistake her for being ‘too young’ for her fiancé – but he’s actually 12 years her junior.
Nathalie Gagnon, from Quebec, Canada, garnered a strong social media fanbase since she stopped drinking alcohol and started intermittent fasting in 2016 – which she says had a dramatic effect on her health and left her in tip-top shape.
Trolls have since hit out at her fiancé David Poirier, 42, in videos of the couple and suggest that the pair’s love is ‘not true’ because of how young they believe Nathalie looks.
And while Nathalie gets a lot of attention – especially after going TikTok viral when she flaunts her enviable figure in skimpy bikinis – the influencer says it doesn’t negatively impact them.
‘The age gap doesn’t affect us, it’s just like any other relationship,’ she said. ‘I always get told I look so much younger [than him] and most people think I’m in my 30s.’

Nathalie, who has 21,200 TikTok followers, insists David is ‘very proud of her’ and knows all the effort she puts into her work.
‘We are a team and he knows it is just a job,’ she added. ‘He trusts me and we support each other.’
However, he has in the past struggled with seeing his fiancée be on the receiving end of romantic attention.
After Nathalie previously went viral for one bikini video on TikTok, David didn’t like ‘people trying to flirt’ with his partner.
‘But I gave him access to my cell phone and I never hide anything from him,’ the social media star said.
She added: ‘We spoke and I asked him if he trusts me and he said yes, as he knows how faithful I am. He knows that even though I love naughty messages from my fans, he is the one.’
The couple first met over a dating app in 2008, when pastry chef David was 27 and Nathalie was 39. Despite the 12 year age gap, sparks began to fly.
Her family are very accepting of their relationship – including Nathalie’s daughter, 32 – but the TikToker admits she had to get rid of some ‘toxic people’ from her life.

‘I got a few negative comments, but I can be quite rude when someone shares their opinion on my life,’ she said. ‘It’s no one else’s business and it never will be.
‘I got rid of all the toxic people who didn’t like it, family related or not, as toxicity brings you down and I want to live a happy life.’
Nathalie says she always asks herself: ‘Do I deserve happiness or do I care about what others think?’ – and ‘always chooses the first answer’.
Before making the move to Quebec in 2010, David lived in Montreal, which was two hours away and they had no other choice but to be long distance.

Nathalie has also previously revealed the ‘saucy’ messages she receives online from men as young as 20, who send her X-rated snaps, as well as fetish pictures and offers of affairs
After daily video calls and ironing out their concerns about the age difference, the pair made the decision to make things official.

In one TikTok clip, which has racked up nearly 10,000 views and hundreds of likes, Nathalie poses in a black bikini as David ‘creeps’ up behind her.
As he tries to take off her clothes, she wags her finger with the caption: ‘No chance for him.’
Users flocked to the comments to share their reactions, with many suggesting she’s ‘too young’ for him.

Despite the 12 year age gap, sparks began to fly as the couple – who are still going strong – met
‘Think she’s too young for you,’ one remarked. ‘Wish I had a chance,’ a second lamented. ‘Fine a** woman,’ a third simply said.
Another fan added: ‘A beautiful couple.’ Elsewhere, one wrote: ’20 bucks says it’s not true.’
Nathalie, who used to be a commercial director, added: ‘The majority of my followers are younger than me and I’ve become known as the “hot cougar” after revealing to fans that my partner is younger than me.
‘I love making naughty content and still respect myself a lot. I never thought I could go viral or successful in this kind of business. It brings me more freedom, confidence and is truly enjoyable.
‘Being a hot grandma doesn’t change anything of who I am inside, as I’m a nice kind woman who loves to empower other women.’
