Though they may have luxurious lives a million miles away from the majority of people, when it comes to their children, celebrities are just like the rest of us – proud and besotted with them.

As the lineup for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing has finally been confirmed, one contestant has been spotted beaming while out with his mini-me children, while another's proud dad has sung his praises. They're not the only ones with lookalike offspring, though.

Here, we take a look at some famous faces whose children bear a striking resemblance to them…

Adam Thomas and son Teddy

Adam Thomas and his mini-me son were all smiles as they landed back in the UK following a family getaway to Mallorca.

The former Emmerdale star arrived at Manchester Airport, just days after it was announced he will be competing in the upcoming series of Strictly.

Adam and his wife Caroline made their way through the airport with their children Teddy and Elsie Rose, after jetting back from their holiday, which may be the last time he spends relaxing for a while as he's set to begin training for Strictly soon. Little Teddy was the spitting image of his famous father.

Following a huge amount of speculation, it was confirmed earlier this week that Adam will be joining Strictly. He said: "I am so excited to be joining the cast of this years' Strictly Come Dancing.

"I've been such a big fan of the show for years, I can't believe I'm actually doing it! I can't dance to save my life but I'm buzzing to learn and have a good laugh with my pro. Get me on that dance floor…I can't wait!"

Jeff Brazier and son Bobby

EastEnders star Bobby Brazier was confirmed as the twelfth celebrity contestant due to take part in the new series. The son of television presenter Jeff Brazier and former Big Brother star Jade Goody boasts some impressive moves already, but his father said other qualities will dazzle viewers.

The proud dad, 44, revealed Strictly his son's "politeness and his manners” will impress Strictly fans. He also took to Instagram to share his excitement with his 260,000 followers.

Just moments after Strictly Come Dancing uploaded a dazzling clip revealing 20 year old Bobby was joining the show, Jeff reposted the glitzy video to his page.

He sweetly wrote: "Go on the boy," followed by a red heart emoji alongside the clip. Jeff's wife, Kate Dwyer, also shared the exciting announcement to her Instagram Stories, writing: "Proud of you @bobbybrazier."

Wayne and Coleen Rooney and son Kai

Coleen Rooney shares four sons – Kai, 13, Klay, 10, Kit, seven, and Cass, five – with her footballer husband Wayne Rooney, and most of them are carbon copies of the former Manchester United player but oldest child Kai looks a lot like his mum, too.

Earlier this month, Coleen, 37, shared a selection of adorable snaps from her latest family holiday, as her eldest son is now towering over her after shooting up in height in the last year. In one image, the star cosied up next to her teenage son, and the youngster was the perfect blend of his parents’ features.

Amanda Holden and daughter Lexi

It's no secret Amanda Holden and daughter Lexi Hughes are incredibly close, often spotted at an array of events together. The Britain’s Got Talent judge and her 17 year old daughter look incredibly similar, too.

Amanda, 52, often gushes over her beautiful daughter, and was particularly proud of her last summer when she got her GCSE results. Taking to social media, the star shared a photo of herself perched on some steps with her arms flung in the air and penned: "Me when we got Lexi's results this morning. She smashed it. Soooo proud of our girl."

David Beckham and son Romeo

The Beckhams are a close-knit clan, often pictured enjoying one another’s company. This week, son Romeo, 20, shared an incredible hair transformation 25 years after his dad David Beckham created the exact same look.

Though Romeo usually more closely resembles his famous mother and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, he was channelling his dad through and through with his newest ‘do.

He shared the look with an image on social media, captioning it: "@peteburkill helping me bring back dad's buzzzz," alongside a starry eyed emoji.

David, 48, then reposted the story telling his son he was "looking good," alongside a laughter emoji.

Peter Andre and son Junior

Junior Andre, the son of Katie Price and Peter Andre, has recently turned 18 years old and is looking more and more like his Mysterious Girl hitmaker father every day.

He was met with a rather stern warning from his dad when he reached his milestone birthday. During an appearance on Vicky Pattison 's podcast Vicky Pattison: The Secret To, Peter recalled taking his son to the airport ahead of a trip to Ibiza.

He said: "I remembered what I was like at 18. And I was like, you know what? He’s gonna have the time of his life. He’s sensible enough to know. He’s gonna drink, he’s gonna have fun.

"But I just said to him, my exact words to him were: 'What do you think I'm going to say to you? He said: 'Yes, Dad, stay away from the drugs'. I said: 'That's all I'm saying to you. That's it.'"

Peter Andre, Katie Price and daughter Princess

Princess Andre is a perfect blend of her famous parents, bearing a striking resemblance to both of them. She has her mum’s natural curls and her father’s dimples, capturing the pair of them perfectly.

After recently posting footage to her Instagram page, a whole flock of fans headed to the comments section to gush over the image, with many all declaring the exact same thing: she looks the double of her mum, supermodel Katie Price when she was younger.

As she gets older, dad Peter has voiced his concerns over her dating. He said: "I’m really stressed out at the thought [of her having a boyfriend]. I’m an overprotective dad.

"Many of you will remember when I used to joke when the kids were younger that Princess would be a nun!"

He continued: "But I’ve learnt I can’t treat the girls differently from the boys. Whatever rules I had for Junior at 15 should be the same for Princess. It’s the right decision, although an incredibly stressful one for any parent!"

Katie's young daughter Bunny also looks a lot like her famous mum.

Perrie Edwards, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and baby Axel

Former Little Mix star Perrie Edwards, 30, welcomed her son with fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain back in 2021, and announced the new arrival on Instagram, writing: "Welcome to the world baby 21/08/21" followed by a heart emoji.

Two weeks after welcoming her son she announced his name, writing: "2 weeks of loving you. I’ve never felt love like this before! Axel Oxlade-Chamberlain" followed by a blue love heart.

The little one is the spitting image of his footballing father but as he grows and gets a little older, hints of his famous mother can also be seen. The loved up couple regularly share adorable photos of the three of them together on social media, as they make the most of family life.
