To practically all of us Camilla is Queen, but to a very select few she is simply granny.

Camilla is the proud grandmother of Lola Parker Bowels, Freddy Parker Bowles, Eliza Lopes and Louis and Gus Lopes.

She is also the step-grandmother of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Back in December 2016, Camilla shared the adorable nickname her grandchildren have for her – and she shares it with another global star.

Royal fans may not think Queen Camilla has much in common with the singer, songwriter and actress Lady Gaga.

However, back in 2016 at the Royal Variety Performance, Camilla revealed they actually have the same nickname, telling the global sensation “my grandchildren call me Gaga”.

Lady Gaga once told Oprah Winfrey that she actually prefers to be called “Gaga” over “Lady Gaga” – “it feels so weird when people call me Lady, so formal”. 

Camilla’s grandchildren have all grown up a lot since 2016, so it’s unclear whether this nickname is still going strong.

Camilla has spoken a lot about being a grandmother, and is very devoted to the little ones in her family.

In conversation with Vogue, the Queen revealed that she plays Wordle every day with one of her granddaughters – but she doesn’t let her win.

Camilla said: “She’ll text me to say, ‘I’ve done it in three’, and I say, ‘Sorry, I’ve done it in two today’.” 

She added: “It’s very satisfactory when it tells you how brilliant you are.”

Like any grandmother, Camilla has had to grapple with the fact her grandchildren are getting older, with her granddaughters experimenting with “funny coloured hair” and “a lot of new makeup”.

However, she revealed there’s one youthful fashion trend she refuses to get behind.
