Lorraine’s Ranvir Singh was branded ‘patronising’ and ‘rude’ by viewers after she told England footballer Beth Mead she looks ‘knackered’ during an interview this morning.
The player, 27, spoke to Ranvir, who was standing in for Lorraine on the ITV morning show on Tuesday, about the Lioness’ win in the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 championship over the weekend.
However the 44-year-old host started off the chat by telling the Arsenal forward that she looks ‘a bit knackered’.
Viewers were left shocked and were quick to call the interview ‘cringe’ and ‘awkward’ on Twitter.
It comes after GMB’s Richard Madeley was blasted for being ‘sexist’ and ‘infantilising’ Euro 2022 star Chloe Kelly by nicknaming her ‘Coco’ because ‘that’s what he calls his daughter’ during an interview this morning.

Ranvir said to the footballer: ‘How are you? I mean you look a bit knackered to be fair…’
Beth replied sarcastically saying: ‘Oh thank you!’ To which Ranvir added: ‘Your whole body has just like gone!’
Ranvir went on to ask the player how much sleep she’s actually had since Sunday’s win.
Beth said: ‘Not a lot! But yeah, enjoyed it so much… every minute since that final.’

Beth said: ‘It has, but I don’t even think it’s sunk in yet. A lot of the girls we still can’t believe we’ve gone and won it.’
She went on to credit the Lioness’s manager Sarina Wiegman saying ‘she really kept a calm culture and yeah, we have gone and won it.’
