Fanatics mogul Michael Rubin played a fun joke as a tribute to Patriots owner Robert Kraft and his new wife Dr. Dana Blumberg after their surprise wedding on Friday in NYC.
Rubin — who’s been known to play some elaborate pranks on pals — has turned the Olde Heritage Tavern in Lenox, Mass. — into “Blumberg’s” for a week, even creating a logo and signage for the spot with Kraft and Blumberg’s smiling faces.
Rubin and Kraft’s pals also picked up the bar tab on Sunday at the tavern for all its customers to celebrate the wedding.
Rubin posted on Instagram on Saturday unveiling the joke, “My little bro Robert Kraft got married last night! And even though Dana Blumberg is now Dana Kraft, Robert will forever be a Blumberg in my eyes! This is the bar [where] they had their first date, so had it renamed ‘BLUMBERG’S.’”
He added: “To a long life of love and happiness, congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Blumberg! Oh and tomorrow open bar on us to celebrate Dana and Robert so head to @oldeheritagetavern!”
Brady, 45, who attended the wedding solo Friday night without wife Gisele Bündchen, commented on the social media post: “All in the name of fun. Congrats RKK and Dana.”
We hear that Kraft first met Blumberg at Canyon Ranch in Lenox — where the billionaire was with Rubin and Rubin’s girlfriend Camille Fishel at the time. They all went to the Olde Heritage Tavern to watch a Patriots game, we hear.
The tavern also posted an image of the “Blumberg’s” signage, and added in its own Instagram post: “Congratulations to the power couple of Robert Kraft and Dana Blumburg… The Heritage has been temporarily dubbed ‘Blumberg’s’ for the rest of the week in honor of Robert and Dana meeting here for the first time five years ago! To celebrate their marriage and the [Patriots] game tomorrow, Robert’s close friends are graciously covering the tab for the entire day! We and the entire Heritage family wish them the very best!”
Page Six previously reported that Rubin once put up a billboard in Manhattan with a picture of his pal, Zero Bond co-owner Will Makris, that read: “Today’s my 40th and I am lonely. CALL ME” — along with Makris’ cell number.
Page Six exclusively reported that Kraft and Blumberg tied the knot in New York on Friday night in a surprise ceremony where Elton John, Ed Sheeran and Meek Mill provided the entertainment.
