Social media sensation Salt Bae has abandoned his ludicrously priced restaurant just six weeks after opening.
Many will no doubt be familiar with the Salt Bae meme that went viral in 2017, where the Turkish chef, whose real name is Nusret Gökçe, sprinkles salt in a suave fashion.
The chef became an internet sensation, and went on to open restaurants all over the world – including London, which opened its doors on September 23.
His new restaurant Nusr-et has become very popular, with people taking to social media to share video clips of the chef sprinkling salt on their food.
On the menu you'll find £630 steaks, £100 burgers, £23 salads and £9 cokes – but at least you'll see Nusret himself, right?
Wrong. Unfortunately, just six weeks after opening his restaurant, he announced on November 4 he would be leaving.
He took to his Instagram story yesterday, writing: “Sunday is my last day in London. I will go to Riyadh to open my 28th restaurant.
“Sunday is my last day in Lovely London. I want to see you beautiful people before I go.”
The chef will be moving to the Middle East on November 7 to open his latest venture.

He has also recently signed a deal with Cipriani to open a new branch of the Italian restaurant in Istanbul, Turkey, according to MyLondon.
There are currently at least 13 other eateries alongside his 15 Nusr-Et Steakhouses in places like New York and Dubai.
With famously expensive dishes served up by the man himself, it's no wonder his eateries have become popular with the rich and famous.
Among them have been Wayne Rooney, David Beckham and Naomi Campbell.
TOWIE's Gemma Collins was also recently left shocked after being charged £1,450 for a steak.
More recently, a job advert looking for a Chef de Partie role for the restaurant has revealed how much the staff get paid to work there.
The job advert stated that they would pay a "competitive salary", and offer "excellent opportunities to develop a global career".
It then goes on to state that the successful candidate will be paid an hourly rate of £12 plus tips.
This means that the hourly wage is the same price as a portion of corn on the cob or mashed potato on the restaurant’s menu.
