According to reports,Strictly Come Dancing proNikita Kuzmin hascalled time on his relationship with long-term girlfriend Nicole Wirt, after five years together.

The 24 year old,who is currently partnered with Paralympic Gold Medallist Ellie Simmonds on the show, reportedly came to the mutual decision to call time on his relationship with Nicole after over half a decade together.

Speaking toThe Sun, a source said: “Nikita wanted to totally focus on this series of Strictly and decided a while back he wanted to end his relationship with Nicole.

“They had been together for five years and it ended up being a mutual decision. Nikita is totally caught up in Strictly so they decided it was for the best for them to break up.”

While not a lot is known about Nicole’s personal life, according to her Instagram bio, she is a professional dancer and choreographer.

Last year, dancer Nicole joined Nikita on his Here Come The Boys tour where she took to the stage alongside Strictly pros including Pasha Kovalev and Graziano di Prima.

Away from the dance studio, Nicole is also a fashion designer and is the owner of fashion brand Wirt Designs and creates practice and competition clothes for other dancers.

Judging by an Instagram post shared at the time, Nikita and Nicole first hit the dance floor together back in August 2016 when they took part in an Amateur Latin competition which saw them finish in first place.

Elsewhere, the World Dance Sport Federation states that Nikita and Nicole previously danced together for Germany.

With Nikita spending much of his time in the UK due to Strictly Come Dancing commitments, such as the show and the tour, the pair embarked on a long-distance relationship given Nicole’s base in Frankfurt.

And according to the source, this is something that was becoming “difficult” for the pair as they navigated their busy schedules.

“Nicole used to stay in London to visit Nikita but it was becoming more difficult with their schedules,” they said.

Over on Instagram, the pair often used their accounts to share loved-up looking snaps of one another, including one of them cosying up together while on holiday on a beach.

Despite things appearing to go from strength-to-strength,last year Nicole posted a cryptic post to her Instagram as the 2021 series aired.

The star shared a photo of her legs and feet as she sat in a hairdressers. Over this, she told her followers: "Practice gratitude daily and see your view over your life shift for the better. Stop complaining so much over things you can't change or control."

She added: "Stay healthy & beautiful as you are guys."
