With Hollywood fixated on appearances, it is little surprise that so many celebrities have succumbed to the temptation to go under the knife.

But it seems that dozens of famous faces have actually ended up regretting their nips, ticks, and tweaks.

Earlier this week, Blac Chyna took to Instagram to reveal that she got the fillers in her cheeks, jawline and lips dissolved.

‘I am getting these fillers dissolved from my cheeks and from my jawline because enough is enough and all has to come out,’ began the rapper, 34, who recorded herself on her way to her appointment at Allure. ‘And that’s just as simple as that.’

Earlier this week, Blac Chyna took to Instagram to reveal that she got the fillers in her cheeks, jawline and lips dissolved

She showed the doctor injecting the dissolver into her face with a thin needle as she explained the different techniques she uses to tackle each unique area.

The mother-of-two said that she made the decision to undo her years of fillers because she was ‘tired of the look’ and wanted to look like herself again.

It is the latest procedure in Chyna’s recent makeunder, which has also included a breast and butt reduction.

And she is not the only celebrity to want to reverse their cosmetic procedures.

Here, FEMAIL reveals which stars have u-turned on their former enhancements and are now embracing their natural selves.

Khloe Kardashian got her fillers dissolved after claiming her ‘face was f***ed’

The Kardashians are renowned for their shape-shifting abilities – but in 2016 Khloe got candid about her facial procedures.

Talking to plastic surgeon Dr Terry Dubrow, of the TV show Botched, she explained that she had got fillers the year before – but that she did not keep them for long.

Speaking on an episode of Kocktails with Khloe, the reality star said that the injections had ended up altering her appearance in an unattractive way.

During the episode, Khloe said: ‘It did not work for me. I looked crazy, and I still think the effects are in there – I went to have it all dissolved like three times.

‘I did it and then Lamar’s accident happened,’ she said, in reference to friend Lamar Odom’s overdose in 2015.

‘I was so stressed out the doctor was like, ”I think it’s just too much was happening to your real emotions.”’

Khloe continued: ‘My face was so f***ed I had to go and get this whole thing dissolved.

She has long insisted that her other changing features are simply the result of exercise and makeup but fans have often argued otherwise (pictured in 2023)

‘It was a bummer and now I’m afraid to do it again. And I’m almost like, I swear things are still in my face.’

But it seems that the experience did not put Khloe off plastic surgery altogether after getting a secret nose job in 2019.

Yolanda Hadid went back to natural after finding ‘sustainable internal beauty’

Former model Yolanda Hadid – mother to superstars Gigi, Bella and Anwar – underwent her plastic surgery reversal during an episode of The Real Housewives of Beverley Hills in 2016.

She decided to remove her implants due to silicone leaking into her body.

In 2019, she shared a sizzling snap to Instagram alongside a lengthy caption in which she candidly talked about her journey.

It began: ‘Finally back to the original 1964.

‘Living in a body free of breast implants, fillers, Botox, extensions and all the bull***t I thought I needed in order to keep up with what society conditioned me to believe what a sexy woman should look like until the toxicity of it all almost killed me.

‘Your health is your wealth so please make educated decisions, research the partial information you’re given by our broken system before putting anything foreign in your body.

In 2019, Hadid (pictured left with implants and right without) said she was finally ‘living in a body free of breast implants, fillers, Botox, extensions’

‘It took me many years of undoing some bad choices I made for myself before I finally found the freedom to sustainable internal beauty and acceptance of what is the best version of myself by nobody’s standards but my own.

‘It’s on us to learn to love our selves and celebrate our unique, one of a kind beauty at all ages as we move through this journey called ‘life.’

‘Beauty has no meaning without your health.’

Kylie Jenner decided to get her lip filler dissolved… if only temporarily

Kylie first started to look different in 2014, when aged 17, she debuted her plumped pout – but initially denied that she had fillers.

During her late teen years, Kylie’s face and body continued to transform with some plastic surgeons speculating that she had also had a nose job, boob job and liposuction.

She eventually came clean about some of her tweaks and revealed that she first got lip fillers as a teen after a boy remarked he was surprised she was such a good kisser with her ‘small’ lips.

But in 2018 (pictured) she shocked fans when she suddenly got rid of her trademark plump pout

During a fall 2016 interview with Complex that she may have initially gone ‘too far’ when she started the injections.

‘When you first get them done, you’re like, “Oh, it could be a little bit bigger on that side.” I’d go back and be like, “They went down” and think they could be bigger.

‘But I went too far. It was very painful,’ she told the publication.

And in 2018 she shocked fans when she suddenly got rid of her trademark plump pout.

She inspired a whole swathe of other women to follow suit in the aftermath as surgeries became inundated with requests.

But the new natural look was short-lived and just three months later she was back sporting her signature pout which she continues to top-up to this day.

Courteney Cox admitted she went too far and decided to get her filler dissolved

Friends star Courtney Cox previously admitted that she ‘didn’t realize’ how ‘strange’ she looked after undergoing cosmetic procedures.

The 58-year-old actress said she initially tried to fight looking older with various ‘injections’ and other treatments but eventually realized she went ‘crazy’ and is now trying to age gracefully.

In 2017, Courteney first spoke about her decision to have her fillers removed in an interview with New Beauty.

She said: ‘I think that I now look more like the person that I was. I hope I do. Things are going to change.

‘Everything’s going to drop. I was trying to make it not drop, but that made me look fake. The next thing you know, you’re layered and layered,’ she said.

‘You have no idea because it’s gradual until you go, “Oh, s***, this doesn’t look right,” she confessed.

‘You need movement in your face, especially if you have thin skin like I do,’ she says she realized.

‘Those aren’t wrinkles – they’re smile lines. I’ve had to learn to embrace movement and realize that fillers are not my friend.’

Chrissy Teigen said her implants were skewed after having children

Chrissy Teigen underwent her first breast enhancement when she was just 20 years old.

She told Glamour UK: ‘It was more for a swimsuit thing. I thought, if I’m going to be posing, laid on my back, I want them to be perky!’

But she said that her body changed after having children and the implants no longer suited, adding: ‘You have babies and they fill up with milk and deflate, and now I am screwed.’

She also shared snaps of hand-drawn notes from her children which had been waiting for her when she woke up post-surgery

In May 2020, Teigen took to social media to share that the implants had finally been taken out.

‘Surgery went perfectly!’ Chrissy announced on Instagram. ‘So so so so so sore but waking up to this made it go away for half a minute at least.’

She then also shared snaps of hand-drawn notes from her children which had been waiting for her when she woke up.

One simply read ‘bye boobies’ and another said: ‘Have fun pulling your boobies out, love Luna.’

But just because she got rid of her implants doesn’t mean that Teigen gave up on surgery altogether.

In 2021, the star admitted she had fat removed from her face in a candid chat on her Instagram stories.

The cookbook author was finally ‘seeing the results’ from a buccal fat removal procedure, more commonly known as cheek reduction surgery.

Crystal Hefner ‘removed everything fake from her body’ after a period of reflection

Crystal Hefner, who was married to Playboy mogul Hugh, had her breast implants removed in 2016 after she realized her they were ‘slowly poisoning’ her after more than a year of feeling sick.

Her health problems which included infections, fatigue and days she could not get out of bed, were first diagnosed as Lyme Disease and toxic mold poisoning, before she found a Facebook group about breast implant illness.

‘It took eight years for me to realize I was getting sick from my implants. These implants were wreaking havoc in my body for eight whole years,’ she wrote on her website in September 2018.

Though she does in fact have the Lyme disease, she said that the implants only made it harder for her body to fight off the infection.

‘I spoke to my Lyme doctor about my implants and came to the realization that I would never get completely well if I left them in since my immune system was constantly battling the implants and not using its full capacity to fight the Lyme Disease.’

In 2020, she suffered yet another setback when a fat transfer procedure almost claimed her life, revealing: ‘I lost half the blood in my body and ended up in the hospital needing a blood transfusion.’

Last year, Hefner took to Instagram with a candid post which read: ‘I removed everything fake from my body and deleted all my old photos’

‘I should have learned my lesson the first time but I guess the universe keeps sending you the same lesson until you learn it,’ she added.

‘I am more authentic, vulnerable and feel that I belong more to myself. I am mine.⁣’

Melanie Griffith hoped she would look ‘more normal’ after getting her facial fillers dissolved

Melanie Griffith, who was formerly married to actor Antonio Banderas, previously revealed that she was being taunted over her looks after going under the knife.

The Working Girl actress became infamous for her over plumped ‘trout pout’ lips as well as a taught, unlined face from using Botox and injectable fillers.

She told US Weekly in 2012: ‘Most people are telling me I look horrible. The tweets I get are really nasty.’

But just a few years later she admitted that she regrets some of the surgery she had had done.

In 2017, she told Porter magazine: ‘I didn’t see it until people started saying, “Oh my God, what has she done?”

‘I was so hurt I went to a different doctor and he started dissolving all of this s**t that this other woman doctor put in.

‘I had it done to my lips too. So awful. Hopefully, I look more normal now.’

But fans have speculated that she has gone back to her old ways following recent appearances.

Ashley Tisdale removed her breast implants due to ‘minor health issues’

In 2020, Ashley Tisdale candidly took to Instagram to reveal that she had her breast implants removed to improve her wellbeing.

‘Prior to the surgery, I constantly felt my body was less than, and thought this change would make me feel more whole and more secure about myself.

‘And for a short period of time…it did.

‘But little by little I began struggling with minor health issues that just were not adding up – food sensitivities as well as gut issues that I thought could be caused by my implants.’

Heidi Montag removed her size F breast implants after being ‘uncomfortable all the time’

Heidi Montag, who rose to fame at the age of 19 after appearing on the MTV’s The Hills, previously claimed to be ‘beyond obsessed’ with plastic surgery.

The reality star recalled hitting rock bottom after she infamously had ten plastic surgeries in one day.

In 2009, Heidi had a chin reduction, brow lift, a second nose job, her ears pinned back and a second breast augmentation, among other surgeries, under the supervision of Dr. Frank Ryan.

In 2013, she underwent breast reduction surgery to remove her size F breast implants to opt for a more natural look (pictured without her F sized implants in 2019)

And, complications from the intensive surgery almost killed her, as she recalled to PAPER magazine that she ‘died for a minute’ on the operating table after her heart stopped.

At the time of the interview, Heidi added that ‘cutting yourself up’ is not something she’d recommend. After the life-threatening incident, she found herself at ‘rock bottom’ and had to re-evaluate what was important to her.

‘They were so heavy they were falling through the skin,’ she says. ‘It was just too heavy for my body and I was in pain and uncomfortable all the time. I thought, ‘What do I need this big of breasts for?”

In 2019, she revealed that she regrets the drastic procedures, and wishes she had waited until she was older before making such ‘life-changing’ decisions.

‘I was just really self-involved at the time – like so many young people – but I was also on TV where every perceived flaw is amplified. I think I looked in the mirror a little too much,’ she told Cosmopolitan.

Lisa Rinna underwent lip reduction surgery in an effort to fix her botched trout pout

Lisa Rinna had permanent silicone filler injected into her top lip in her 20s after being inspired by Barbara Hershey’s full pout in the 1988 film Beaches.

She said that at first ‘it was great’ but, after nearly 10 years, the silicone started seeping throughout her lip and creating scar tissue that was bumpy.

The star told People in 2010: ‘I was crazy to even touch them in the first place… I’d get photographed, my lips would look a certain way and then people would start to talk.’

Speaking to the publication at the time, Rinna said she hopes her missteps will be a life lesson for her two daughters.

She added: ‘I am the perfect poster child for what not to do on a whim.

‘With all that’s happened with the lip, I can show them that you need to love yourself for who you are and embrace how you look.’

Heather Morris had her breast implants removed because her chest ‘was always sore’

In 2011, Glee alum Heather Morris furiously denied that she had surgery after telling American Cheerleader magazine that her bustier form was just the result of good bras.

But just months later she came clean about going under the knife as she revealed she only had implants for less than a year.

Morris told Fitness magazine at the time that her bigger chest was too painful – particularly when she exercised – so she had the implants taken out.

‘Implants were something I thought I wanted when I was younger, and now I don’t,’ she said.

‘It was hard being active with them, because my chest was always sore.

‘It hurt a lot, and I didn’t like being in pain – so they had to go!’

Chloe Lattanzi said reversing her cosmetic procedures was part of ‘an ongoing process’

Olivia Newton-John’s daughter Chloe Lattanzi is also among the famous faces who are finally embracing a more natural look.

Speaking to fans in an Instagram video on October 2022, the singer revealed she had removed the dermal fillers from her face and is now planning to have her breast implants taken out.

‘It’s an ongoing process. I’ve had the fillers removed from my face. When I had it done, I had body dysmorphia so I had very low self esteem,’ Chloe said in the heavily filtered clip.

‘I think I started doing [fillers] about 10 years ago. My face looked very puffy and strange.

‘There’s a product called hyaluronidase that can take it out – it basically dissolves it – which is an ongoing process that I go through.’

Chloe also said she regrets getting breast implants, which she received in Australia at age 18.

‘When I had my breasts done I had very low self esteem. I also wasn’t aware. I trusted anyone in a white coat and I wasn’t aware that there was any side effects or consequences,’ she lamented.

‘I’m actually looking into removing them. It does cost a lot of money,’ Chloe added.

Speaking about the implants she got in Australia aged 18, she said: ‘When I had my breasts done I had very low self esteem. I also wasn’t aware’

She previously admitted she’s had two two breast augmentations to fix her initial ‘botched’ boob job.

Chloe went on to claim her lips will never be the same after years of dermal filler injections.

‘With my lips, I had them injected so much that they are permanently stretched out. Not that this is anyone’s business, but it hurt to see some of these comments and I just wanted to educate people.’

‘You can believe me or not, but it’s the truth. From having them filled so much, they’re just stretched. I haven’t had them done in years.’
