Police are appealing for information after footage emerged of a group of thieves stealing a BMW for the second time within a week.
The BMW 1 series was driven away from the owner's front yard at Finch Lane in Dovecot, Liverpool, on Wednesday morning after previously being stolen just six days before.
The thieves raided the home on July 10 and got their hands on the car keys.
Police managed to find the vehicle thanks to the GPS device installed on the car and returned it to the owner two days later.
The owner, who does not wish to be identified, told Liverpool Echo: "We got the car back at the weekend but the number plates had been taken off so I parked it in the driveway and attempted to block it in so no one could get near it."
He covered the car in tarpaulin, closed a set of gates in front of it, blocked it with two wheelie bins and even parked a second car across the driveway.
But the thieves, who are believed to have kept the car keys, returned to the address and broke through the makeshift security measures within 40 seconds.
CCTV footage shows the organised thugs pushing away the wheelie bins and breaking open the gates while one of them jumps into the driver's seat to start the ignition.
A car then reversed up on the kerb and rammed the blocking car a few metres away, leaving an exit route.
They got into the car and sped away from the scene.
The young dad checked the surveillance camera footage after realising the car was gone the next morning.
He said: "I couldn't believe they had come back for it already.
"I had been looking into getting an immobiliser for it but it's only been a couple of days and I haven't had a chance to get it sorted.
