I try a lot of beauty and skincare products as part of my job, so a product has to be something special to really wow me. Well, I came across such a product recently and I’m still in awe over how well it worked. But first, a little context.

I’m someone who’s prone to heat rashes, so it was only a matter of time until I finally got one given how hot it’s been this summer. As anyone who’s ever had one knows, they’re not fun. They’re super itchy, leave your skin with these bright red bumps, and pop up in the worst places, like your neck, chest, or elbow creases, like mine.

It had been about a couple of days since an awful heat rash appeared when I got a package in the mail with Dermelect’s Savior Skin All-in-One Repair Balm. The brand had given me a few products to test out, but this particular product appealed to me because of the things it claimed it could do. Dermelect describes the product as the “ultimate multitasker” that “provides solutions for almost every beauty concern.” Some of these “concerns” include dry knees, elbows, and heels, cracked nails and cuticles, chafing, sunburns, cuts and scrapes, and skin irritations. Not only that, it’s made with ultra-hydrating and nourishing ingredients such as castor oil, evening primrose oil, and rose flower oil. Naturally, I had to give it a try.

Right before bed, I applied a small amount of salve on the rash and immediately liked the soothing effect it had. The itchiness of the rash made going to sleep impossible, so this was already a win in my book. I went to bed, woke up, did my morning routine, and started my day. The rash didn’t even cross my mind until I realized sometime in the afternoon that I was no longer itching like crazy. When I finally examined my elbow crease, I was in shock over what I saw.

Truth be told, I really wasn’t expecting spectacular to happen and just went into this with a “let me just try this out” sort of attitude. But I was so surprised to find that the amount of bumps I had were nearly gone. The same goes for the redness in the surrounding area. My skin was basically back to normal after just one use! No joke. Like I said before, I’ve tried a lot of beauty products and only a few products have left me absolutely stunned. This is one of them. I immediately called my mom raving over the balm, as she was also experiencing a heat rash herself.

As you know, I clearly adore this repair balm — but I’m not the only one. One shopper over 65 said the product was a “miracle.” They wrote, “[It’s] great for rehydrating my hands and arms.
