A furious traveller has described the moment she was told to ‘cover up or get out’ while enjoying a cocktail at a beachside pub.
Naomi Tibbles was at a pub on Stradbroke Island in Queensland for 15 minutes before she was approached by several security guards.
She said they told her she couldn’t wear thongs at the pub because of the dress code – before changing their approach when she pointed out she was actually in sandals.
The men then explained the pub was a ‘family establishment’ and her crochet pants and bikini top were not appropriate.
“And this motherf***er says, ‘Do you have something to cover yourself?’ I said, ‘No, I don’t actually, because I’m on a f***ing island and I was just at the beach, we’re on a f***ing beach island, you are on the beach actually,’ she recounted in a furious video on Instagram.
Naomi said she was sitting at the bar, where children aren’t allowed, and there were only two kids in the pub – at the other end of the establishment.

She said security told her thongs were not allowed in the venue – but told her the whole outfit was a problem when she pointed out she was wearing sandals
She also added she was just drinking her watermelon spritz, and had walked three kilometres before stopping at the pub for a break.
Naomi described the incident as ‘rude, embarrassing and gross’.
‘Absolutely not sorry for this one. Half way through my cocktail before I get told in front of the whole damn establishment?’ she blasted.
And her fans agreed, the pub was out of line with many claiming her outfit was perfectly fine.
The model said she walked three kilometres in the heat to get to the pub and was halfway through her drink when the security approached her
‘I have seen less clothing on at the supermarket and restaurants on the Gold Coast.. what is their problem,’ one woman said.
‘Looks alright to me, on a beach, on an island, in Australia,’ added another.
Others said they ‘always wear swimmers in shops and pubs’ on the famous island.
