Even the most adventurous of thrill seekers will think twice before attempting this jaw-dropping ride. 

This is the stomach-churning moment a man made a staggering 1,100ft drop from the top of the Aizhai suspension bridge in China, the thirteenth highest bridge in the world.

In a video posted to Instagram, the scene unfolds with an anonymous daredevil harnessed to a flimsy chair-like object, as it hovers high above green land and a busy freeway.

The ride, which has since been dubbed ‘the craziest ride ever’ is gently lowered slowly but surely, giving the allusion that all is calm.

However, at the very last moment, the man is released from mid air and plunged into the unknown as we watch him swing through the air with intense speed.

And just as as we’re at the edge of our seats, aching to see what’s ahead, the sound of a bell signals the beginning of the spine-chilling drop

The moment was apparently too much for some viewers to stomach, with one person claiming they had an instant ‘anxiety attack’.

Moments before the big plunge, the man can be seen muttering to himself, perhaps in a bid to coax himself into the crazy act.

An eager crowd speedily gathers around the bridge to capture the moment, while some even took hold of their phones to record it.

People can be heard chanting, adding to the already frightening suspense. Meanwhile the unknown man remains stoic, giving absolutely no hint as to what’s going through his mind.

And just as as we’re at the edge of our seats, aching to see what’s ahead, the sound of a bell signals the beginning of the spine-chilling drop. 

He spirals downwards before the ride sends him in another direction, as viewers see him swing across masses of greenland, and even a busy motorway.

The  video has since garnered 229,000 likes and attracted over 3000 comments.

Clearly in disbelief at the ride, one person wrote: ‘Doesn’t look very secure. Dead drop at risk. No thank you, I will pass’.

Another joked: ‘Bet he is glad that he wore the dark trousers that day’. 

‘The anxiety attack I had watching it’ added another.

Meanwhile, one person commented: ‘As it is said, there is a very thin line between the braveness and stupidness’.

The Aizhai Bridge is a suspension bridge on the Baotou–Maoming Expressway near Jishou, Hunan, in China.

The bridge was built as part of an expressway from southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality to Changsha, and is one of the world’s longest tunnel-to-tunnel bridges.

The main span of the bridge extends 3,760 ft and retains a horrifying height of 1,102 ft.

It is the thirteenth-highest bridge in the world and the world’s nineteenth-longest suspension bridge.
