A woman from New York who re-created ‘The Holiday’ and found her own Jude Law last year has revealed they are still in touch – but there was no rom-com ending for their romance.
Last December, Camille Wyand, 25, spotted a post on Instagram advertising a home swap and was paired with Lizzie Frainier, an editor and travel writer from Tooting, south London.
After arriving in the capital, Camille met 28-year-old Paddy James (aka Jude Law) and sparks began to fly, with the pair’s story going viral on TikTok.
A year on, Camille revealed that Paddy and her sadly are no longer together but have remained friends and that she has come to London to visit Lizzie since their house exchange.
Camille Wyand, 25, from New York, revealed that although they are no longer romantically involved, she’s still in touch with Paddy who she met during a house swap last year – in a real-life version of The Holiday
‘When Paddy and I met, it felt like we had known each other for years because we got along so well and loved chatting with each other,’ she said.
‘We aren’t together but we’ve remained friends and catch up from time to time.
‘When The Holiday sequel was announced, I was so excited – I texted him and Lizzie about it right away and we were so disappointed after finding out it wasn’t true.
‘I actually went to London in September and stayed with Lizzie, and reunited with Paddy too.

The idea came from the 2006 flick The Holiday, which stars Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jack Black, and Jude Law. In it, two women – from England and from Hollywood – swap homes
‘We’re not dating but there’s a chance I might move to the UK temporarily for grad school next year so who knows if I’ll have another British romance of my own.
‘After the holiday swap I actually stopped dating for a while to focus on preparing for grad school applications, I only started dating again a few month ago.
‘Trying find love in a big city is definitely interesting!’
The original home swap was organised and paid for by HomeExchange and the dating service Thursday, which set Camille up with a dating profile.
That’s how she met Paddy, a technology consultant who lives in Clapham, and the pair went on a ‘really good’ date at Mr. Whites in Leicester Square.

Paddy said: ‘I saw Camille was flying over from the US for a house swap and was intrigued by her story, I saw her profile on the Thursday app I sent her a message about going on a date.
