Music mogul and fashion designer extraordinaire, Kanye West has recently changed his name to ‘Ye’ and is poised to take the world by storm with his hot new image. He’s been recently linked to young model Valentria and has seemingly found the fast track to being happy again after processing through his divorce from Kim Kardashian. However, just as things were starting to look up for the star, he was forced to face the music on a legal battle that had previously been launched against him. His Yeezy brand is going to be on the hook for a $950,000 settlement due to prolonged shipping delays, and perhaps the most interesting twist… the lawsuit was launched by the state of California.

Kanye West is admired by millions of fans across the globe, and many of those adoring fans wait in eager anticipation of the release of his new Yeezy merchandise.
Quite willing to fork over some pretty big bucks just to be able to don clothing made by the music mogul, Ye’s fans invest in the products that they fall in love with online and expect that their shipment will be processed shortly after their payment is confirmed online.
Sadly, that’s not always the case.
In fact, Ye’s Yeezy brand is currently under fire after making delivery claims that they simply could not fulfill. Shoppers expressed deep concern and increasing frustration after waiting well over 30 days from the time of purchase to actually receive the items that they paid for.
Sadly, this didn’t just happen a few times or with just a select few orders. It seemed to be a case of false information being advertised on the Yeezy website, which made claims to much more efficient delivery standards. Many shoppers were affected, and the complaints were coming through the pipes fast and furious. It didn’t take long before a civil suit was launched in order to find restitution to the ever-growing list of complainants that were frustrated by this process.

The district attorney of Los Angeles County, George Gascon, took to the media to declare his position on this matter, stating, “Online consumers are entitled to protection against unwarranted fees and unreasonably long waits for purchases to arrive on their doorsteps.”
Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, currently sits at an astounding net worth of $1.8 billion, and despite his enormous fortune, it’s certain that the court’s judgment, forcing him to shell over $950,000 to resolve this matter, has left a decent ding in his wallet.
