The Sanderson sisters are officially renting out their cottage in Salem, MA, just in time for spooky season. In honor of the new “Hocus Pocus 2” film, once again starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, Airbnb is listing a re-creation of the Sandersons’ exact home from the movie. Starting Oct. 20, two lucky guests will have the chance to stay for only $31 a night in celebration of All Hallows’ Eve. Per the official release, guests can channel their inner Sanderson by “trying their hand at enchantments enshrined in the ancient spellbook that guided the sisters in all their mischief” and viewing a special screening of the new movie, which hits Disney+ on Sept. 30.
This bewitching stay also comes complete with decorated beds, and according to a People interview with Najimy, “a lot of the spooky, fantastic elements of the ‘Hocus’ experience.” At first glance, fans may recognize the iconic water wheel and sign touting “The Sanderson Witch Museum,” but the details only get better upon entry. “There’s Mary’s loft cottage and it’ll be all decorated. It’s got the unique and frightening charm, just like Mary does,” Najimy told People. “It’s going to have all the best bits that you’re hoping will be there.” From potions and broomsticks to the legendary Black Flame Candle, this Airbnb will make you feel like you’re a part of the Sanderson family yourself.
Once guests have gotten a taste of the listing, they are also invited to explore some of the most haunted properties in Salem, where the Airbnb is located. Plus, as part of this collaboration, Airbnb is making a donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem, making an effort to give back to the community. For those who truly can’t get enough of the Halloween season, this listing just might be for you, and you can request to book your stay starting Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 1 p.m. ET. Until then, read on to get a more thorough look at all the hocus pocus going on within the Sanderson cottage.
