Amazon Alexa deal lets you upgrade your car with AI for £29 on Black Friday

If you've ever wanted your very own talking Knightrider car, now's your chance.

As part of its huge Black Friday sale, Amazon has a great offer on its Echo Auto for £29.

The Echo Auto gives you all the features of an Alexa smart speaker but in your car. It hooks up to car stereo and can be controlled with your voice.

That means you can ask it to play music, order pizza, read the news or Google things for you as you drive—completely hands-free.

You can also set calendar appointments, play audiobooks, and most importantly, answer calls. View the deal and order yours here

"Customers tell us they want to take Alexa with them everywhere they go," said Amazons Eric Saarnio.

"We're delighted to offer them an easy way to add Alexa to the car they already own."

The smart speaker has a unique microphone system to ensure your voice can be recognised loud and clear even on a busy road.

Best of all, the Echo Auto has no monthly costs, so once you've nabbed this bargain it won't cost anything extra.

The Echo Auto connects to your car stereo using Bluetooth or an AUX cable, and mounts on the air vent.

However, it's important to check your car is compatible with the Echo Auto, as it won't fit all models.

Amazon has provided a handy list of cars where the smart speaker won't work on Bluetooth, including:

  • Audi A3 (2003 – 2013)
  • Citroen C3 (2009-2016)
  • Ford Fiesta (2008-2019)
  • Toyota Prius (2015 onwards)

However, these cars will still be able to take advantage of the Echo Auto using an AUX cable, so make sure you pick one up.

Check if your car is compatible via Bluetooth by viewing the full list here.
