On Monday 15 July, Amazon will launch its next Prime Day sale.
This event begins at 00.01am on Monday, 15th July and – for the first time ever – runs for 48 hours, offering members two full days of shopping.
Amazon is boasting that 2019 will offer the biggest Prime Day deals ever on Alexa-enabled devices which should mean major discounts on the full range of Echo speakers.
“Get ready, as we pull back the curtain to reveal exclusive products, special performances and two full days of phenomenal deals this Prime Day,” said Jeff Wilke, Amazon CEO Worldwide Consumer.
“Stay tuned as we reveal thousands of new product launches, as well as world-class entertainment and more, leading up to Prime Day on July 15 and 16.”
Ahead of this event, Amazon has launched some new gadgets including the Echo Show 5 and a new clock.
The Show 5 features all the usual Alexa-powered smart skills but it also adds a 5.5-inch screen and in-built camera to mix.
As well as offering that display there’s also some decent speakers which Amazon says offers rich and full audio.
If that all-screen device doesn’t take your fancy then UK consumers can finally buy the new Echo Wall Clock.
This device was announced last year but has only just become available in Britain.
The new £29.99 clock links straight to your Echo speaker and is aimed at helping you keep tabs on timers, alarms and reminders.
Amazon says that in addition to telling time, the easy-to-read clock features 60 LEDs so you can set and track multiple timers and alarms simultaneously.
Everything is set through your paired Echo device, which also syncs the time of day so you never need to worry again about adjusting for daylight savings.
The Echo Clock is available to pre-order from today with it shipping on August 6.
So, there’s plenty of Echo news and discounts on their way and if you already own a smart device here’s some new things to ask Alexa.
