Amazon is the world’s largest retailer, but it’s also becoming a major player in the tech space. It’s Alexa range of devices continues to go from strength to strength, while the Fire range of tablets also offer excellent value for money.
Some have seen recent updates, including the popular Fire 7 Tablet, while the Kids versions of the Fire 7 and Fire 8 offer a durable device with plenty of functionality at a low price point – and an unlimited two-year warranty.
All of the Fire range are ideal for streaming Netflix, BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub and of course, Amazon’s Prime Video service, while they also have access to millions of eBooks and magazines via the Kindle App, plus music apps like Spotify, Amazon Music, and more. Plus, there are over half a million apps in the Amazon app store, so your tablet can gain more utility over time.
Right now, Amazon has slashed the prices of their tablet lineup, with the excellent Fire 7 just £34.99 – perfect for your first tablet.
There are now Fire tablets for every price point, so here’s our read on the entire range.
Fire 7 Tablet (2019 Version)

As you’d imagine, it offers support for Amazon’s Alexa, too. It’s smaller size and low cost make it an ideal first tablet, and while the screen isn’t HD it’s still perfect for browsing the web or checking your social media feeds.
