Apple Black Friday deals unleashed on iPhone, AirPods, Apple Watch, MacBook Pro, more

Apple’s Black Friday deals are finally here! OK, so technically Apple doesn’t refer to its deals as part of the Black Friday 2019 sales, but it sure is a whopping great coincidence that it’s unleashing some of its most generous offers on the same day every other retailer and high street shop kickstarts its Black Friday sales.

Unlike some stores, Apple is hanging out its deals for four days – from Black Friday itself (November 29) to Monday December 2, 2019. So there’s plenty of chance to make the most of its offers. As always, Apple doesn’t discount its products directly. Instead, the iPhone manufacturer dishes out some very generous Apple Store Gift Cards with the purchase of select devices.

While that’s not quite the same as getting a price drop, it does mean that people buying multiple devices can get some serious discounts on a second purchase when using the Gift Card. Alternatively, you could also get a horde of accessories for free from the Apple Store. And if none of that sounds appealing, you can also use the credit to buy some applications for whatever device you’ve just bought.

Apple is offering up to £160 in credit on its Apple Store Gift Cards for select products. First up, Apple will hand-out a £40 Gift Card when you buy an iPhone XR, or iPhone 8. That’s a substantial discount on a case, or a second charging cable, or some money off the new AirPods Pro, for example. Unfortunately, the latest and greatest iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max aren’t eligible for the Black Friday deal.

There’s a £20 Gift Card available with the purchase of an Apple Watch Series 3 from the Apple Store. That will help you on your way to getting a new strap for your shiny new timepiece. You’ll get a Gift Card of the same value for buying the 2019 AirPods, which include handsfree Siri – so you can summon the AI assistant to set timers, make calls, reply to text messages and more just by using the magic phrase “Hey Siri!” while wearing the Bluetooth ‘buds.

Things get much more generous when you start looking at iPads. Apple is dishing-out £80 Gift Cards with the iPad Pro range, which starts from £769. Considering most people will want to treat themselves to a Smart Keyboard accessory and an Apple Pencil with the new tablet to help with productivity on-the-move – this is a solid deal. You’ll get £40 with the purchase of an iPad Air or an iPad Mini.

Finally, the big bucks are available with the MacBook Pro. Treat yourself to a 13-inch MacBook Pro and Apple will hand over a £160 Gift Card, which is more than enough to kit yourself out with professional-grade apps and accessories. The same amount applies to the iMac and iMac Pro, which start from £1,049 and £4,899 respectively.

That Gift Card offer drops to £80 with the latest MacBook Air, which costs £1,099 and has a redesigned chassis built from recycled aluminium, a Retina display and a Touch ID fingerprint scanner. And of course, if you’re not content with simply getting a Gift Card, but would rather some money off your next Apple purchase, it’s worth having a shop around at some of the other high street stores and online retailers taking part in the Black Friday 2019 sales.
