It seems like only last month since Apple launched the new iPhone, and that's because, well, it was. But never one to rest on its laurels, the California tech giant has dropped a new range of iPads out of the blue on an unsuspecting public.
The new 10th generation iPad starts at £499 and features a snazzy new A14 Bionic processor, a large 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display, and upgraded cameras.
It might not sound like a complete transformation of the tablet, but just like the iPhone 14, it's a step forward for Apple in terms of bringing formerly premium hardware to their standard product range.

Meanwhile, Apple is still firmly targeting creatives with deep pockets by launching the new iPad Pro, which features the powerful M2 chip.
This is the same processor used in some of Apple's MacBook Pro laptops, meaning you should get similar levels of performance as a computer but with the portability, display and touch controls of an iPad.
One of the best new features is undoubtedly Stage Manager, which lets you use your iPad as an external monitor for your Mac. This means you can use features such as a the Apple Pencil to design things for use in a project on the Mac.

The Pro model also comes with an amazing new Apple Pencil hover feature which gives you a preview of where your Pencil cursor is before you touch the screen.
With prices starting at £899 for the 11-inch model and £1249 for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro (both without cellular connectivity), the iPad Pro certainly isn't a cheap Christmas gift but if you're after a more portable laptop replacement, it could be just the ticket.
Both the 10th Gen iPad and the iPad Pro are available to order from today on the Apple store and will begin appearing in Apple stores from Wednesday, October 26—exactly a month before Black Friday.
