The UK retailer has just announced some deals ahead of the main event this Friday with discounts going live on TVs, LEGO and even the Nintendo Switch. Right now you can pop a Samsung 40-inch HD telly in your living room for just £251 – that’s an £80 saving. Those wanting a pin-sharp screen can also get over £50 off a 43-inch 4K Samsung QLED TV which usually costs £549 – it’s now just £494.

If you love LEGO the Argos has the iconic Millennium Falcon Building Set for just £80 – saving £70 and there’s a deal on the Nintendo Switch.

Other offers that have caught our eye include money off popular Dyson vacuums and a whole swathe of Amazon gadgets are discounted including the Echo, Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Cube.

Those needing a new laptop will also find portable PCs that start from just £239.99

Argos says that all of its deals can be purchased online with free Click & Collect available at more than 1,200 locations nationwide, including 395 Argos stores inside Sainsbury’s supermarkets.

Shoppers can also take advantage of Argos’s market-leading Fast Track service, which offers home delivery in as little as four hours, up to 10pm, for just £3.95.
