Fans and players of the game have already been able to shape Beyond Good and Evil‘s content, but ahead of the second title’s release, a whole new level of collaboration has been announced.
As well as dropping a stunning new cinematic trailer for Beyond Good and Evil 2, Ubisoft has also announced that it’s teaming up with Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s HitRECord.
The HitRECord collaboration means that fans and artists from around the world will be able to influence the development process by creating and submitting content for the game – including everything from poster designs to radio ads and music.
Ubisoft has confirmed that the platform, which is open to all kinds of artists of all skill levels, will credit and pay for any user-made contributions that the game work with.
Beyond Good and Evil‘s latest trailer confirmed some long-held questions by fans, including how protagonist Jade fits into the story now that it’s a prequel and if we see get to see Pey’j.
(Which we do!)
Ubisoft has yet to confirm the platforms on which it plans to release Beyond Good and Evil 2, but the “Space Monkey Program” – Ubisoft’s method of keeping fans informed of the game’s progress – allows users to select one of three devices: PS4, PC, or Xbox One.
A release date for BGE2 is also up in the air, but after how long we’ve waited for this one, we’re just glad it’s happening at all.
