The heads of the FBI and MI5 have joined forces to warn the world of a 'deceptive' plot by China to steal technology, disrupt business and interfere with other countries.
At a joint press conference in London on Wednesday, MI5 director general Ken McCallum said that the British spy agency is doubling its investigations into China due to a 'game-changing' threat from the Communist Party.
Meanwhile, FBI director Chris Wray said the US agency is opening new investigations into China every 12 hours on average.

Mr Wray said that Beijing is "set on stealing your technology, whatever it is that makes your industry tick, and using it to undercut your business and dominate your market."
The intelligence chiefs highlighted Chinese cyber threats against 37 countries, with the MI5 director saying that the UK disrupted a 'sophisticated threat' against aerospace firms.
Mr McCallum said speaking together was designed to send "the clearest signal we can on a massive shared challenge: China".
He added: "The most game-changing challenge we face comes from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). It's covertly applying pressure across the globe… we need to talk about it. We need to act."

The pair also warned that China is 'watching Russia' and taking notes about a potential invasion of Taiwan.
Mr McCallum said they were focused on the Chinese state and "not the Chinese people" who are "wholeheartedly welcome".
In May, the Chinese government issued warnings that American hackers were conducting cyber attacks on Chinese assets and organisations, although critics claimed this was based on outdated evidence.
