Gmail is a big deal for Google – it has literally millions of users who rely on it every day.
So when changes get made, people notice them.
The tech giant has begun a phased global rollout of a new version of Gmail with several new features like "snoozing", "nudging" and the smarmy-sounding "confidential mode".
It hopes that the new version of Gmail will make both individual customers and business users work "safer, smarter and more efficiently."
Matthew Izatt, a product manager at Google said: "New features on mobile, like high-priority notifications, can notify you of important messages to help you stay focused without interruption.
"And you might notice new warnings in Gmail that alert you when potentially risky email comes through."
Just like Snapchat, Gmail also now lets you send self-destructing emails to your contacts.
"You can also make a message expire after a set period of time to help you stay in control of your information," said Izatt.
Tech fans across the internet have been making their thoughts on the new Gmail known on Twitter.
Business users have also weighed in with their thoughts on the new design.
“Gmail’s new easy-to-use interface and built-in intelligence enable our employees to collaborate faster and smarter, spending less time managing their inboxes and more time driving our customers’ success.” said Jo-ann Olsovsky, EVP and CIO at Salesforce.
