Sony finally announced last week that its new Xperia 1 II (Mark 2) flagship was finally going on sale. In fact, fans can now pre-order this device and even get a pair of award-winning WH-1000XM3 headphones thrown in for free.
With a new camera, access to 5G network speeds and a premium Qualcomm 865 processor the new Xperia 1 is clearly a very accomplished device but all that tech does come at a price. Those wanting one will need to splash out over £1,000 before popping it in their pocket which makes it one of the most expensive devices the Japanese firm has ever made.
Sony is clearly aware that not everyone wants to spend that amount of money on a phone and there’s now a much cheaper alternative which goes on sale today.
The latest Xperia 10 II (Mark 2) can be yours for £319 and arrives packing some decent features for that low price.
For your money, you’ll be treated to a 6-inch OLED screen that features Sony’s unique 21:9 aspect ratio.

There’s also a new triple-lens camera which you can also easily tailor your photography with pre-set settings for Food, Portrait and a new Night mode, ensuring high quality images even in low-light situations.
The trio of lenses can also shoot wide-angle photos and there’s the option to film videos in stunning 4K quality.
Under the hood of the Xperia 10 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor and you’ll find a 3600mAh battery which should mean you’ll easily get a full days usage.
Other extras include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, water-resistant design and a 3.5mm jack, for an authentic High-Resolution audio experience either wired or High-Resolution Wireless Audio.
Finally, there’s 128GB of internal storage which can be boosted to 1TB via an SD Card
The Xperia 10 II is on sale from today from select retailers across the UK priced at £319 SIM-free.
It now joins the £169 Xperia L4 in Sony’s entry-level line-up with all of these devices getting that cinema-style display and triple rear camera.
Express.co.uk is hoping to bring you a full review of the Xperia 1 and Xperia 10 but you can already read our impressions of the budget L4 here.
