James Bond’s actual Aston Martin from No Time To Die on sale – with machine guns

What do you get the dad who has everything?

If he wants to live out his dreams as a spy, James Bond's actual car could be a good option this Christmas. That's because 007's iconic shiny motor is going to auction this month.

Bond's Aston Martin DB5 is one of eight stunt cars built specifically for Daniel Craig in No Time To Die (2021), and comes complete with some of the secret agent's special gadgets and weaponry.

The famous auction house Christie's will sell it as part of a lot in its 'Sixty Years of James Bond' this month, where it could fetch up to £2million.

The car features in the opening sequence of No Time To Die, with James Bond driving through Matera, Italy with Madeleine Swann (Lea Seydoux) by his side.

This chase sequence sees 007 deploy the car's hidden machine guns to despatch his pursuers, and the DB5 on auction is one of the few vehicles modified to actually have these built-in.

Meanwhile, the dashboard was created with a 3D printing technique to make it almost identical to the original DB5.

The car features a modern straight 6 petrol engine, carbon fibre body panels, and a handcrafted interior. It's also got a completely new suspension and braking system to make it perfect for stunt performances.

Sadly, the car was only built for stunts and Christie's advises buyers to seek professional advice on whether it can be used on the roads.

The auction house estimates that the car will go for between £1.5million and £2million, with the proceeds being donated to The Prince's Trust as well as a number of military charities.

You'll be able to participate in the auction online until October 5 here
